You were telling stories to the kids in your village like always. They wanted something new, not like the usual old story's with the damsel in distress with the handsome prince who saves the day. You thought for a moment trying to think of something new and interesting for the kids. You decided to just made it up as you go hoping that you could tell a story unlike any other. Something new, something different.
There will come a soldier
Who carries a mighty sword
He will tear your city down, oh lei-oh lai-oh Lord
Oh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh Lord
He will tear your city down, oh lei-oh lai-oh Lord
You couldn't help yourself but to tell a story about Tanjiro. He was a truly remarkable person. Risking his life for others, he was ready to do anything it took to make Nezuko human again. He was the kindest person you ever had the pleasure to know, to love. With kind red eyes, soft hair of the same crimson color. His black and green kimono that he always were even when you offered to buy him a new one that wasn't dirty and falling apart. He wanted you to keep your money to buy something nice for yourself. You didn't think he truly understood that the only thing you could ever need was him. The thought of him was bitter sweet with him gone on a mission you felt as if a part of you was missing as if with him gone you were missing the best part of yourself. It has only been four moths, one of the shorter missions he's been on but it feels like decades since you've seen him.
There will come a poet
Whose weapon is His word
He will slay you with His tongue, oh lei-oh lai-oh Lord
Oh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh Lord
He will slay you with His tongue, oh lei-oh lai-oh Lord
You thought about how kind he was. Not wanting any one or anything to suffer, even the demons however cruel. He had empathy which many slayers lacked. Although you couldn't really blame anyone for hating the monster of the night, they killed and feasted on the innocent sometimes a person you love. But no matter what he could always see the humanity deep down and new that somewhere deep inside was a scared human just trying to survive like the rest of us. You couldn't control the smile at the thought of him. He was always so kind, putting people before himself, even when it didn't benefit him. Always filled with warmth even after losing his entire family he still had love and happiness in his soul. You often tried to decide if it was his kind smile or his loving embrace that made you miss him so much. His smile had some sort of effect on you. No matter how mad or upset you were, one look at his kind smile made you forget what was previously on your mind. He didn't look like it but at the first glance he didn't seam the strongest. He was always quite skinny and with the baggie uniform he wore hid his his now toned body. And while his new muscles were meant to slay demons you liked to think that they were made to hold you.
There will come a ruler
Whose brow is laid in thorn
Smeared with oil like David's boy, oh lei-oh lai-oh Lord
Oh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh Lord
Smeared with oil like David's boy, oh lei-oh lai-oh Lord
Oh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh Lord
His voice was music to your ears. Just him talking was better then any song you could think of. It was soft and sweet, but when need be he could change his kind demeanor. The few times he's truly raised his voice were quite terrifying even leaving Inosuke speechless. Although god bless whoever had the displeasure of hearing him sing. You still have that ringing in your ears when you heard the three boys sing.
He will tear your city down, oh lei-oh lai... oh
Oh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh lai, oh
Oh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh lai, oh
Oh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh lai, oh lei, oh lai, oh
The more you thought about your husband the more you wished for him. You missed his touch his voice. As you we're coming to the end of your story you could of sworn you heard the same voice of the protagonist of your story. The strong sweet man who had just saved the day. The one who the children were rooting for since the start. The voice you yearned for. You felt a strong hand on your shoulder. You couldn't control the goofy love sick smile that took over your face. You placed your hand on top of his and gave it a good squeeze trying not to become a mess in front of the kids. Him looking down at you with a big bright smile on his face. As you finished the story the children clasped and asked their many questions about the story as they normally did. Once they were satisfied with your answers they headed home to eat there super. You turned around and practically jumped into Tangiro's strong arms. You savored the beautiful sound of his laugh. As sad as it was, you never knew the last time you would hear it. He squeezed so tight you couldn't breathe, but you didn't mind as you missed his embrace and how safe you felt in it. When he finally put you down he grabbed your face in his calloused hands and looked at you. Like it was the last time he ever would. He came in slowly and kissed you. He wasn't the best kisser but you truly didn't care. To you the way your lips meet and melted was perfect. To you he was perfect.
