"Cheers!"

We collectively clinked our glasses together in toast. I was sat in Lucy's kitchen with the girls, sipping Merlot from a wineglass. Cheesy pop classics were playing in the background whilst we idly chatted about the nights events.

"I was thinking we should start off at Frankies Tiki Bar then we could move onto C bar?" Katie was the queen when it came to making plans. She went out almost every weekend and knew the streets and bars like the back of her hand. She always organised any kind of plans we made.

"Sounds good to me." I confirmed, taking a longer sip from my drink. I loved going out with the girls and having a few drinks. But Brandon had been texting me pretty constantly since last night and part of me wished I'd taken him up on the offer to go see The Killers tonight. I glanced at the clock on the wall, noticing the time was 9:15. Brandon would probably be getting ready to go on stage. I picked up my phone and composed a text.

Me: Good luck tonight, Vegas boy. Wish I'd taken the opportunity to come and watch you. Maybe next time? I'm cheering you on from Lucy's kitchen!

"Vegas boy, eh?" Sophie smirked as she sat on the breakfast stool next to me. I shyly gave her a quick glance, hoping she would keep it quiet.

"Don't say anything Soph, please?"

"Your secret is safe with me, Nay. As long as you're happy."

"Oh no, we're not, he isn't, like we aren't dating!" The way I stumbled over my words wasn't convincing, "He is just a friend who I bumped to at Island yesterday. We haven't seen each other for years."

"Someone you worked with at Island?" She was digging for information, but I know I could trust her. She just wanted to know to protect me. Out of all the girls, me and Sophie had the most trust in each other.

"Listen, don't say anything OK. But it's Brandon..."

"Brandon Flowers? The guy from that band you said you didn't go on a date with and Rob's currently seeing?" Her tone was hushed but I could see Katie peering at us from across the room.

"Shhhh! Yes, that's him. I met him when we went on a night out but you lot were incredibly drunk. And then we kept in contact, then we lost contact. I honestly thought I'd never see him again but he came into the kitchen at lunch yesterday and we just got chatting."

"Does Lucy know?" Sophie asked as she tucked a tendril of blonde hair behind her ear.

"Does Lucy know what?" Lucy popped her head between us, her ruby stained lips sipped from her glass.

"Don't say anything, but Naomi has been texting the lead singer of the band Rob is currently watching."

"No way! Are you serious? Are you guys dating!?" Her jaw dropped but the corners of her mouth twisted into a smirk.

"No! We used to speak but we lost contact. He was in the kitchen of Island yesterday and we bumped into each other. He gave me his phone number so I could keep in contact with him this time." Lucy and Sophie exchanged a glance between themselves as if to call bullshit on what I'd just said.

"Well, Daniel better not get his hopes up for your date on Monday. He's going to be so disappointed when he finds out he was rejected for the lead singer of his favourite band." Lucy pursed her lips at me before she leant over and placed a kiss on my head, "As long as you're happy babe, we fully support whoever you choose to date."

"THE CAB IS HERE!" Katie shouted from the living room. I threw the remainder of my wine down my throat and grabbed my purse. I was ready for a night on the town.
