There was a girl with black hair and red roots and green eyes standing in a field looking out on the breathtaking view. She heard walking behind her and turned around and saw her girlfriend, Rosemary. Rosemary had long blond hair and brown eyes. They both turned to look back at view with their pic-

"Harper!" her mother said with a touch of annoyance in her voice .

Harper snapped back into reality, not by her exact choice. "Yes, dearest mother?" Harper said with a huff and a bit of sarcasm in which her mother decided to ignore. Harper's mother took a quick look around her room and frowned. "Your cave is disgusting!". Harper looked around.

She had coffee cups lining her nightstand. She also had clothes, books, art supplies, and other random stuff around her room.

Harper's room was rather small. It was about 6x5. She had a twin bed with black covers and grey sheets. Her clothes were placed under her bed in bins. She had a tiny nightstand next to her bed. She also had a shelving system above her bed for her other stuff and.. that was really it.

Her parents had always liked her brother, Alex more. Even if they would never admit to it.

"I have eyes. What did you come in here for?" Alex said. She was tired of always letting her mom step all over her. After all, she was turning 19 next month. "Oh, right!" Her mother kicked back into her normal sing-song voice. Her personality showed that wasn't how she really was though. "Me and your father think you need to find someone to settle down with. You know how much I want to be a grandma."

Julian hated this topic. Her mom had been bugging her since she was 15 to find someone nice and have a life with them. She wasn't sure if it was illegal or not.

Harper huffed and responded "Why? What's wrong if I don't like men?" Her mother had lost her temper. "Being gay is a sin Harper! You will go to hell if you're part of the alphabet people!". Harper didn't respond. She felt nauseous. Her mom realized she wasn't going to protest. "Dinner will be ready soon. By about 6:30. Come downstairs then" after that, she left her daughters room and Harper was left in the comforting silence. Finally.

It had been about 5 hours and was around 10 PM now. Harper had been relaxing on her laptop when she heard a knock on her window. Harper already knew who it was. It was her girlfriend, Rosemary. Harper got up and answered the window. "Hey" Harper said with a smile. Rosemary climbed in. "Hey" Rosemary reached up and kissed Harper. It had been a couple months since they had seen each other because Harper was grounded for awhile. Harper sat back down on her bed and patted the spot next to her. Rosemary gladly sat down.

For awhile, they cuddled in silence enjoying each other's company. Soon they both fell asleep. Happy to be reunited.

Too soon morning came. And then Harper's mom was banging on her door. Harper ushered a half asleep Rosemary out the window. "Love you" Harper said with panic in her voice.

Seconds later, her mother barged through the door. "Good morning sleepyhead" her mother seemed to be in a better mood. Harper looked at her mother. "Good morning, how did you sleep." "Fine. But I need you to get ready and you need to look semi presentable" Harper frowned. It wasn't even 9 o'clock and her mother was criticizing her. "Why?" Harper asked with visible confusion. "You're meeting your future husband!"
