If you're in America, or know anyone in America, please be safe, stay inside, and warn others to do the same if you can after elections (today on November 3rd). There are many people and hate groups organizing and sending threats to target, harm, and even kill known democratic voters, people of color, and people of the lgbtqia+ community if Trump doesn't win the election. It is not currently safe to go out, especially in dense or major cities. On this website here: https://www.splcenter.org/hate-map/by-state you can easily search up your state or area to find out if there are potentially dangerous groups there.
You should at the very least stay indoors for the week of and after elections, or as long as you can manage within a reasonable timeframe. I care about you all, so please at least have some caution if you need to go outside for any reason.
You may think that you aren't a target if you voted for Trump, but if you are a member of any of the previously listed communities, please stay cautious as you may be targeted regardless because most will not be able to know whom you voted for and can assume that you're lying. Don't think that it doesn't matter or apply to you if you didn't vote for Biden, if someone believes for any reason that you might have, you could become a target. Even if you don't think you're a target, please just be safe and stay indoors if possible.
It is too late to vote, unless you're in Alaska or Hawaii at the time of this posting and in that case you should still try to vote safely, but this is not a scare tactic or anyone trying to stop you from voting. Please don't think that I'm saying that if an emergency arises to stay indoors, I'm simply saying that you are going to be much safer indoors no matter if you think you are at risk of being targeted or not, and that if possible you should stay indoors. Some people don't think that it may be a big deal, but even if you don't think it could be, I hope your not willing to risk your safety just to look around the store for some Doritos that could wait for tomorrow.
