SYNOPSIS.

Sometimes, love isn't meant to be. So it's a good thing what Matsushita feels is only a small crush in the grand scheme of things (who is she kidding? She's head over heels in love with this boy). Feelings never get you anywhere good, especially when they're for someone like Kagami Taiga.

Maybe she feels this way because of the way he secretly cares for his friends. A quality of his that makes her heart melt at the thought. Most guys don't give a shit about others, at least the ones she would keep for as company never did.

Or maybe it could be that looks are deceiving. Why is he such a big sweetheart underneath his scary-looking persona? Does he know how fast her heart beats at the mention of his name? No, of course not. She hides it too well for her own good.

Whatever it may be, all she knows is that her feelings will make things ten times harder than they have to be. Toying with a boy's emotions isn't something she would normally feel bad doing. So why is it, that he ends up becoming an exception?

It's not like Matsushita to give a damn.

It's supposed to be simple: find out the gameplay that the Seirin High team will use against her school in time for the match. That's the one job she was given, it definitely was not to catch feelings on the side...

This is book one of my small kuroko no basket series I have, okay well actually it started small but now it's a whole mini verse I really don't know 😭. But I won't publish those fics until this one is close to complete or completed (or unless my impulsive behaviour takes over).

Fun fact: I wrote this whole summary listening to Diamonds by Rihanna. Not relevant at all but yknow it is what it is. I ramble way too much, so let's just leave this here and talk about how cute my homeboy is?

Extremely important to me that you all know that I'm crazy and posting a million fics this week before college starts back up on Tuesday!!!

Anyways, I was so young when I first wrote this, and so I honestly want to write this cute little dramatic plot for my inner 2020 self! Idk, I'm rambling but yeah!

Timeline wise, it'll change some canon from the series and then also will have a time skip and go into a college setting later on (I'm still outlining) but anyways it's a good excuse to do a rewatch.

I haven't seen this anime in a long time and it's weird because for a time, it used to be my whole personality. My username used to be after the Kagami Taiga after all 😭
