Chapter 1

"Daisy dear,I think it's time to get up, your dad will be angry if he's ready before you" mom says from the door .my head felt so heavy and I struggled to open my eyes. Thoughts of yesterday flooded my mind ;of course I should have a headache. Mom made me go to the market to get my school stuffs. She claimed that she wanted me to be independent. I had most of the things she made me buy but"A new session requires new things" she had said. Even worse,the market was so rowdy. I thought of staying in bed the whole day but I definitely didn't want to miss my first day in senior secondary. Gosh I was so happy I was going to be a senior girl. I missed my friends : kammy,Suzy, Ayo and of course, Alex . Thinking of them , I immediately got off the bed and lazily dragged myself into the bathroom. I brushed my teeth, got out of the bathroom and started walking downstairs with my feet shuffling loudly, I stopped abruptly to normalize my steps . My mom would surely not like me shuffling my feet

" Good morning Mom" I said , sounding more quiet than I expected.
" Darling , your dad left already. He was in a hurry" she stops as her eyes rests on me.
" Hun are you okay? You really look weak" mom was always worried .
" Am okay mom " I lied.
" You're not ,I can see that, I think you should start school tomorrow dear"
what!!, Was she really being serious. There's no way I'm going to be absent from school today, I'll probably miss out on everything. Introducing ourselves to our new teachers... There's so much I don't want to miss

" No mom , I'm okay" I sounded stronger.
"I insist" is she fucking serious?
" Mooom ,don't do this ,it's my first day" I'm almost crying.
"Go to your room Daisy , you're weak "
I really hate when my mom feels strict. I went up to my room and lay back in bed. I felt so tired , maybe mom was right afterall. I should get some rest. I started thinking of what my friends did today. I want to know how their holiday went , what hair Kammy and Suzy made, I was frustrated thinking of things I'll miss today.

"Daisy, Alex is on the phone" I woke up immediately. I couldn't even remember when I slept and I didn't even bath. I strode across the room and took my mom's phone from her hand.
" Hey Alex,what's up" I sounded horrible, but I actually felt much better.

" Daisy ,you okay? We missed u so much in school today" Alex sounded worried.
" I felt a bit sick today so I decided to stay home but I'll be in school tomorrow" I replied. I just hope this stupid headache doesn't continue tomorrow
"So sorry I hope you get better , I called you but no answer so I decided to call your mom" I'm sure he wanted to say more but he needed to know if I was interested in listening so I replied" yea, I was asleep"
" You missed a lot today". I knew it. I knew I'll miss out
"Tell me everything" I said . Eagerly waiting to hear what happened on the first day of school
