Chapter 23

"Well are you ready?"

His eyebrow raises and he holds out his arm for me to hold.

"Never been more ready."

It's time.

The classic music plays and we make our way down the path.

There I see Matthew, his eyes shine as we lock eyes with each other.

My heart skips a beat and the blush forms again.

I never knew I could be so happy.

I found love.

Now I have someone that understands me. My other half.

I love him.

As each step leads me closer to him the calmer I get.

I'm at peace.

We finally reach him and Youngbin gives my hand to Matthew.

"Take care of her Matthew, but I know you will. I'm a love demon after all."

We smile and I face Matthew.

He leans close to me.

"Soon you'll be mine and I'll be yours forever."

He says it in such a low whisper that I almost don't hear it.

A smile overcomes my face.

Forever.

I have eternity with him.

"I declare you husband and wife, you may now kiss the bride."

Matthew slowly grabs my hands.

So delicately and gently, my heart tingles.

He stares into my eyes with so much love I almost want to close my eyes.

He leans closer and I hear squeals from the guests.

BAM

The doors slam open and we all turn to see.

There stands Jimin.

My heart drops and I feel my whole body fill with ice.

He stares at all of us evenly and then smirks.

We all brace ourselves as he assesses each one of us.

And then out pops Dawon from behind him with a big gift.

He smiles widely at everyone and quickly bows shoving Jimin to do the same.

"Sorry everyone, Jimin likes being dramatic. Sorry for arriving late aha."

He scratches the back of his head shyly.

I breathe a sigh of relief.

Dawon quickly pulls Jimin to a seat and the attention is back on us.

The guests start chanting "kiss, kiss, kiss, kiss!"

Matthew smirks at me and slowly puts his lips on mine.

He's so gentle and my heart beats faster and faster.

Everyone cheers when we let go.

Matthew hugs me tightly and kisses my cheek.

"I'm so excited to spend my forever with you Jiwoo."

I giggle and kiss his cheek as well.

"Of course. We'll always have each other."

And we did.

A long road of life awaits us.

But we are together.

Forever.
