Chapter 7 - Some Things Never Change

The boys smirked. "Many ladies have tried to tell us apart, but so far, only one has succeeded." Kaoru glanced at you for a split second, causing you to give sheepish smile as your cheeks turned pink. Thankfully, neither of your friends noticed this.

Before the girls could guess, Haruhi appeared behind the group. "That's the dumbest game I've ever heard of."

Hikaru and Kaoru tilted their heads, raised an eyebrow, and placed their hands on their hips. "What? Have you got a problem with it, Haruhi?"

"Not really." She shrugged. "I just don't understand how the two of you are so popular." Her comment drew a snicker out of you. Haruhi heard you and flashed you an amused smile.

The twins and honors student continued to banter back and forth, providing entertainment to the ladies. However, the time to leave soon came, so you made your way towards the nearest exit. Right as you were about to step through it, you nearly bumped into Nekozawa, one of your upperclassmen. The sudden sight of him startled you, causing you to let out a yelp. You quickly apologized and scurried past him out to the hallway. Once in the hallway, you realized you were not where the usual exit led to. Which door had you just used?

Eh, I guess it doesn't matter, you thought. I know my way from here anyway.

The next morning as you were cheerily walking towards your classroom, you heard a racket coming from Class 1-A. Curious, you opened the door. As soon as you did, you saw a teacup flying straight towards your face. Thankfully, you were able to dodge it, and it crashed behind you and shattered.

The sight in front of you shocked you greatly. Objects - chairs, desks, Usa-chan, and even Honey - flying everywhere! Wait a minute, Honey? What was going on? It didn't take long for you to locate the source of all the flying items, and you were not-so-pleasantly surprised when you did. How unexpected it was to see the Hitachiin twins, one with blue hair and one with pink, throwing things at each other like toddlers throwing a tantrum.

You continued scanning the room and spotted two girls huddled together in a corner, watching the flying objects with fear in their eyes. If you were frustrated before, you were infuriated now. You knew you needed to put a stop to this.

"Hey," you declared in a considerably authoritative voice. Only Haruhi, still seated between the twins, heard you.

"Hey!" you repeated, a bit louder this time. Still no acknowledgment.

"Hey!"

This time, the twins ceased their actions and looked at you. They were taken aback at your appearance - your hands were balled up into fists at your side, your shoulders were tense, and your teeth were clenched. They had never seen you like this before.

"Please, stop fighting," you pleaded, lowering your voice a bit. "Can't you see all the damage you've caused? Look at your classmates. They're taking cover because they don't want to get caught up in your temper tantrum. You've broken fragile items that belong to the school." You then pointed to Honey, holding Usa-chan in one hand and gripping onto Mori with the other. "You even threw your upperclassman across the room! What do you two have to say for yourselves?"
