Before I knew wrestling, I was a saint. I didn't hang out with any friends who knew how to curse, in fact, at one point, I thought saying shut up was a bad word. Anyways your not here to hear my alive childhood, You are here to see me when I was introduced to wrestling so here you go.
One day, I was at school, minding my own business, paying attention to the teacher, basic stuff as just trying to survive in the world, I got done with my class and went to lunch, I was chatting with my best friends as we have always done at not only class at times but as well the lunchroom. But apart from him, I had another friend, at the time he was a big wrestling fan you could say, and I went over to talk to him. Back then, I was trying my hardest to make friends and I wouldn't say it was the easiest accomplishment to complete because, at the time, I wasn't speaking fluent English.
We had a regular chat, nothing too special but nothing too boring. Then he went out of his way and mentioned the topic of wrestling and if I knew about it, keep in mind, this was about the near-end of third grade and referring to paragraph 1, I was a complete saint, meaning that I usually watched kid-friendly shows like Disney Junior & Nickelodeon in some occasions. When he mentioned wrestling, I had no idea in the world what he was talking about since it was my first time hearing about it so it was pretty obvious by the expression I gave that I had not even one clue what he was talking about.
My friend quickly noticed, and he didn't hesitate to give me a small background of one of the wrestling shows that was booming at that period, it went by the name of WWE. I could understand what direction he was trying to make my head go to but I still couldn't seem to fit all the puzzles together. I told him that I would see if I could find some videos about it on the website that has always been the home to my childhood and I still use it even to this day, YouTube.
Indeed I did keep my word. I arrived home at around 3 PM, changed out of my school clothes, and before getting on my PlayStation, decided to search up on YouTube, WWE. Of course, the first thing that popped up was a WWE match and I thought it looked interesting so I clicked on it and watched the full thing. My reaction was that it wasn't as bad as I had a small thought in my head that it was gonna be a slumber-fest at first. It was so interesting to me that I wanted to find out more information such as if maybe so, they made a video game, I originally dared to wonder that because at the time of my finding out about WWE, you could pretty much say that I didn't have any games, thus less fun I would have whenever I wanted to get on my PlayStation
I eagerly searched and searched until with the benefit of the doubt, a game had been realized for a couple of months by the name of WWE 2K17. I wanted to be sure that I wouldn't buy the game and delete it the day after so I wanted to see professional YouTuber's play the game. I saw as much as was available and I knew in my mind that this game will be amongst the list of the games I play every time I get on my console. I went to my mother soon after and I pleased her to convince my father to buy this game, she asked the price of the game and I said $60, she was complaining to me that $60 is a lot even though I would see her pull up with a brand new iPhone, she told my father either way and he also sided with her on her rant on telling me if this game was gonna be used by me frequently or not. I said yes with full honestly since I told myself after not only watching YouTube's play the game themselves but as well see the gameplay trailers that were out before the game was released. She made a deal with me, she said don't into my parent's room randomly and to stop doing a whole list of other things I would do. I insisted that I would comply with her orders.
Shortly after, my father hooked his credit card to my PlayStation so I could buy the game, and a good 5 minutes after, the fame started to officially download. You wouldn't understand how excited I felt to be getting this game, and it was just me celebrating on the inside. A day passes after the buying of the game, lunchtime striked again, I rushed to see the friend who informed me about wrestling and suggested to me WWE, I told him how I saw the wrestling matches and how I was getting the not so long ago released game, to be fair, I had a feeling that he was a bit jealous but couldn't capitalize on it since no major pinpoints were marking that he was jealous, I wasn't at the same caliber of thinking as of now since back then, I wasn't great at speaking English and the reason I thought he felt jealous was that the game wasn't realized so long ago and also because he didn't have the game himself.
We chatted for basically the rest of the lunch period until our teacher arrived at the cafeteria and took us to the classroom. When I arrived at home, I should've mentioned, there was a waiting time until you can access all the features of the game, so by the time I had entered my doorsteps, the 100% download process had finished. With no hesitation, I immediately logged unto my PSN account and loaded up WWE 2K17, just by hearing a song in the game, it was love in first sight. I played a couple messages, adventured through a couple other shit, and knew that this was the right investment.
Fast forward a couple years later, I have now gotten 3 more consecutive games and they are pretty well done and you could say, a bit similar, but at the same time, a little bit more different in terms of the graphics of the more up to date games.
