Hell wasn't exactly the nicest place according to the books, tv shows, and movies people see or read all the time; however, in reality it's really just like the level of earth. Blue skies, green grass, lots of flowers and trees, it's not anything like how people assume it to be in the slightest. Many people loved The Underworld and what it had to offer.
People in The Underworld are reincarnated depending on their job in the past or general interests. They're reborn starting from an infant and aging just like in their past lives except when they get to a certain age the aging stops, they even still remember everything from their past lives in order to make sure they're just the same
Now, Travis wasn't your everyday young adult either, he had huge responsibilities and duties due to being the son of The Devil himself. Travis had dark, almost pitch black, hair that was slicked back and well kept with piercing yellow eyes. He always wore a dress shirt and vest with a dark purple tie and black dress pants and dress shoes.
His best friend Hollow, who grew up as a pumpkin farmer, had a pumpkin for a head who always wore a yellow plaid over a bright green shirt and black jeans with some simple running shoes.
Recently Travis' dad had passed away and everything went to him as he had no siblings which meant he had to run the entire underworld and do all the paperwork which meant hardly any free time to do anything remotely interesting but, he had no choice in the end.
When Hollow arrived at Travis' current house the day of the move he nearly fainted at how empty it was. Hollow has never seen Travis' house as empty as it was now. Travis had a lot of keepsakes that he had gotten from his mom in the past or his dad sending him stuff for holidays in the mail. Hollow could hardly believe that Travis was actually going through with going back home to run the underworld. Sure Hollow didn't know what went on there when Travis still lived there to make him not wanna go back but he knew how much Travis hated his own father.
"Dude, what the hell? Did you pack last minute or something cause, when I was here yesterday it was not this empty at all?" Hollow chuckled as he stood in the open doorway as Travis taped up the last box.
"No, I didn't. After you left yesterday I began to pack so it wasn't last-minute at all." Travis replied glaring at Hollow.
Travis picked up the last box and popped it in the moving truck and shut the door. Travis sighed before turning back to Hollow looking down at him. Travis is 6"4 and Hollow is 5"2, poor thing has a giant for a friend.
"Well Hollow, you ready to go? Do you have all your necessities?" Travis said putting a hand on Hollow's head giving it a light pat.
"Yepper! I can't wait to see what THE Lucifer lived in all these years!!" he replied with the biggest smile.
Travis laughed at Hollow's Childish behavior before turning and beginning to walk. Hollow jogged the whole way just to keep up with his abnormally large friend.
After about thirty long minutes of walking, they reached a huge set of stairs leading up to what seemed like a castle.
"Well, we are here." said Travis with a sigh.
Hollow obviously too out of breath to speak just threw his fist in the air as if celebrating. They stayed at the bottom of the stairs until Hollow caught his breath again but once he did he was raring to go.
"Cmon Travis I'm ready to go!!" he said, jumping up and down like a kid waiting to see Santa at a mall.
With a defeated sigh Travis stood up from sitting on the stairs and they began the large climb up. As they climbed the stairs the mansion came into view more and more.
"THIS is where you're gonna be living?! This is amazing!!" Hollow said running the rest of the way up the stairs.
When Travis reached the top all he saw was a sad lonely house at the highest point of The Underworld. Sure it was huge and intimidating but Travis had known this place his whole life so it was somewhat normal to him. As they began to walk closer to the front door Travis began to miss his small house more and more. Knowing that he had to live here the rest of his life just kept making him more and more upset as it went on. Sure there were some perks to living in a massive house but on your own, that's something Travis can't even begin to think about.
After about thirty minutes of a simple and very basic tour to show Hollow around the house, they decided to get started. Sleeping in one of the many spare bedrooms in the house which Travis had plans for anyways, they worked hard to decorate the house. The more they added Travis' stuff the more he found it felt like home. Eventually, there were just two rooms left, Hollow's own room for when he was over and his parent's old bedroom. Hollow's room was gonna be the one they were staying in so there wasn't much to do except change the bedsheets so that's what Travis did. He added a white set of bed sheets with a red comforter so Hollow could be warm. Last was his parent's bedroom. He wanted to change it but as soon as he walked in at that moment he froze. He couldn't bring himself to touch anything in that room. It belonged to his parents. Travis turned around and walked out the door shutting it behind him.
'That can be a project for another day... maybe.' he thought to himself.
He walked to the main foyer where Hollow was sitting playing a video game on his phone.
"Everything is done Hollow, thanks for your help. If you wanna stay here tonight because it's getting late then feel free, or you can go home whatever you would like to do." Travis says sitting in the armchair closest to the unlit fireplace.
"I'll stay here tonight because your house is so cool!!" Hollow said, closing his game and putting his phone in his jean pocket.
Travis laughed at Hollow's comment. As it got later the boys decided it was time for bed. They headed up the stairs to the second floor and went to their separate bedrooms exchanging goodnights before they went in. Travis liked to say this was the first time he enjoyed being home.
