Amalia is a 24 year old captain of the national police of Colombia, she lives in Colombia with her husband Diego, her little sister Mariana and her two children.
Diego is a corrupt lawyer and a womanizer, he's an unfaithful man but he loves his children.
Mariana is a chronic drug addict that has affairs with politicians and drug lords, she has always been envious of Amalia but Amalia loves her family unconditionally.
Mariana only pretends to like her sister and puts up with her because she pays her bills and provides everything for her.
Amalia and Mariana lost their parents in a shoot out at a very young age.
Amalia was a very smart child back in school, smarter and younger than most of her mates in high school.
She was 15 and had just finished high school while Mariana had just started when they lost their parents.
Their father was a General of the national police of Colombia who was desperate and determined to put an end to drug trafficking in Colombia and Mexico.
After losing both her parents Amalia didn't mourn or cry so much, instead she swore to kill her parents murderers with her bare hands and started to investigate on her own.
When Amalia turned 16 she opened up to her dad's very close childhood friend General Lopez. They were like brothers, the General and Amalia's father did literally almost everything together, when Amalia told him about her plans to get revenge for her parents, he talked her to doing things the right way and that death would be the easiest way out for those bastards and they deserve to suffer and die slowly. She changed her mind and made a deal with the national police instead.
After the long and rough road and with the help of the national police they were able to capture her parents murderers.
Amalia decided to join the academy, and continue with her father's legacy and fulfill his dreams, she faced a lot of challenges but with the support of General Lopez she finished the academy at 20. He became a father to them and always looked out for the girls, he saw Mariana through high school and provided everything for them.
