Chapter 1

(Tyler's pov)
It's been two weeks since I haven't seen Evan. My parents told me that he was training to gain that power. I just know that he failed doing that. My father said my name. I look at him "You called father?"my dad places his hand on my shoulder. "Have you unlocked the power yet?"I knew that he was going to ask me that. "Sadly no not yet, I tried everything including training" I crossed my arms. "How did you unlock yours dad?" I asked. "I unlocked mine in the middle of a battle but it could be different for you"maybe I could try to unlock the power with Evan's help. "Don't forget about the ball that is coming up soon"he's only doing it just so that I can find my significant other. "I won't dad, I promise" he smiles and walks away leaving me alone. This hallway is always empty. Now that I remember, the conversation I had with Evan when we were kids. "Tyler when we grow up let's become soulmates!"said the small and yet cheerful Evan. I don't know why I still remember but I do. We both were kids we did not know any of these words at all. But yet, I agreed to become his soulmate.

I think he forgot, funny how those words are the only thing I think about. One of my servants interrupted my train of thought. "Sir Tyler, Evan Fong has arrived"I smiled. "Alright lead me to him"I said. The servant bows and turns to walk back to the throne room. I wonder if he rode on his parents back again. They do have the power to grow into a large owl. We finally arrived in front  of the doors. The servant opens them. I dismissed them as I head out to the steps of the castle.

(Evan's Pov)
I waved at him. Tyler smiles and waves back at me. My father lands onto the ground. Holding close my satchel, I get off from his back. My dad starts flying up again. "You haven't even grown an inch since I last saw you"I rolled my eyes. "Shut up your so rude"I punch his arm in a playful manner. "Still haven't unlocked your power?"I asked. He shook his head. "Same here man"I sighed. Guess we aren't strong enough to unlock them. "We are in the same page then"I smiled. "Yes, but we should head inside you could be tired from riding your dads back"he puts his arm around my shoulders. "Or should we spar again"he smirks. "Now your talking, I really want to see if you could beat me"Tyler chuckled. "I know I can cause I'm taller" that's not what happened last time when we first fought. "Alright let's spar in your secret spot again"

"You still remember that spot?"he asked. I nodded "how could I forget"he grabs my hand. He shushes me as we began to run behind the castle. He looks behind me then to the side.  When we arrive he presses his hand on a wall full of vines. It moves back  as he pushes it. It opens completely. We both walk inside as it closes behind us. "Wow it's still look the same"I said as I put my satchel down. "Yeah I know"he cracks his knuckles. "So should we begin little owl?"he asked with a smirk. "Hell yeah bitch"

(Tyler's pov)
We spent ten minutes sparring. So far he's winning. But not anymore, I grabbed his wrist. I push him down the floor with my arm resting onto his neck. "I win"I said with a smirk. Evan laughed. "Yeah I guess you did"he looks kind of hot under me. Oh god what am I thinking. I got off from him. Holding my hand out he grabs it, I pulled him up. "God you got strong, kind of jealous you know?"I nod. "You still need to stop aiming for my neck that won't help you win anymore"he sighs. "I know but at least I tried" he laughs. "Your tired aren't you?"he nods. His face got smaller while his body in the other hand. It got him looking like a girl from the torso. "Earth to Tyler are you there?"he calls out my name. "Huh oh yeah um we should get back" I grabbed his satchel. I gave it to him he thanks me and puts it on. "You should take a bath then we should eat"Evan nodded then he looks to his side.

"What?"I said in confusion. He didn't answer but walked to the old tree "something wrong?"I asked again. "You don't see it?it's glowing"Evan asked. I walked behind him. A blue crystal, looks sketchy. Evan slowly reaches it to grab it. When he grabbed it. The crystal shined bright blinding us both. When it died down, Evan was on his knees. "You okay?" I picked him up. "Yeah, my eyes hurt" he said as he rubbed them. The crystal is nowhere to be seen. Maybe it exploded? Don't know. But at least it's gone. "Let's head back to the castle"
