Another Kind of Trouble [Sequel to Trouble]

XII.

Orion was having a great time.

Lately, he'd found himself hanging around, for longer periods of time, with Athena, Blaise and Jonathan. They were the only people, besides his family, he could stand. Draco, Pansy and Theo tried, but truth was they didn't really believe him or his family when they vouched for their father's innocence. So instead of picking fights with them, he just avoided them. Draco and Theo's fathers had been on Voldemort's side during the war and they'd claimed to having been under the Imperius curse, so he could not understand how they avoided jail time while his father didn't. And they all knew who'd actually been a follower to that oaf, but that was a conversation for another time.

Meanwhile, Pansy was just being Pansy. Blaise had let it slip that Hermione Granger had an apparent crush with Orion and so she would always be found tormenting the girl. This made Orion stand up for the girl and the two friends to constantly be screaming at each other. 

But he was having a good time as they strolled through the cobbled paths of Hogsmeade. 

It had been a few weeks since the Hufflepuff vs Gryffindor game and some Gryffindors remained as bitter as usual, throwing snide remarks whenever a Hufflepuff passed by. The Black kids, minus Polaris who would just roll her eyes, would always clap back to whoever commented about it, saying how they were obvious sore losers. 

But the triplets had 'forgotten' to tell Orion about Harry's hurtful words, the boy already had enough in his plate with how much he was getting into trouble by picking g up fights. He didn't need another problem to be added to his plate. 

The three friends, Athena, Jonathan and Orion, Blaise had to stay behind because he had detention for unfinished homework, were walking through the streets when they heard yelling coming from ways away. Frowning, and thinking someone was in trouble, they got closer to the yelling. As they did, the persons voice got clearer and clearer. So much, that Orion could tell that the yelling was coming from his cousin, who wasn't supposed to be at Hogsmeade in the first place. 

His brows furrowed. Earlier he'd bumped into Ron and Hermione who seemed to be speaking in hushed voices and when they'd bumped into him they'd become tense and left without as much as a word. Orion didn't want to be that person who judged others, but he'd been expecting that behavior from Ron. Never from Hermione. After all, he'd been the one comforting her when her and Ron got into a spat over Scabbers and Crookshanks. 

"- he betrayed them. He was their friend!" they heard Harry yelling, as they got closer Orion felt something terribly heavy fall to the pitch of his stomach "I hope he finds me. But when he does, I'm going to be ready. When he does, I'm going to kill him."

Just as he finished, the three friends met the Golden Trio. Just as Harry finished speaking, his eyes fell on his cousin - no, in the offspring of the man who deprived him of having a family. Of having a mother and a father. A father who wasn't always immersed in his depression, so much that he sometimes forgot to even eat or pick up his son from his uncles house. Deprived of having a functioning father that would always be proud of every one of his achievements and wouldn't feel the need to boss him about or coddle him whenever he so much as got a scratch on his knee. 

"You."

Orion ignored the tone that Harry used to address him and worriedly got closer to his cousin "Is everything alright? We heard yelling."

"Orion... I think it's best if you... leave." Hermione mumbled, but it was loud enough for them to hear. Athena and Jonathan raised their eyebrows in surprise and Orion wasn't left enough time to react and be hurt over her words as Harry got up from where he'd been sat and pushed Orion backwards.
