All-in-all, Chrissy has a job for she is a 3rd-year student at McGill University when the first coronavirus case was identified in Canada. She had to return home which is likely to be far away from her school.

As the fresh air and the wind blowing through Chrissy's hair, she cannot help but reminisce about school days and those happy moments way back when it's just normal. She smirked as she remembered how she can freely move that time.

While enjoying a cup of coffee, her mother sat next to her.

"It's very dystopian." She said.
"At first, everybody was so excited like "I'll see you in three weeks when this pandemic is over", then everybody decided to went home, and you read the news every day and see things getting worse and worse".
Chrissy cannot stop venting out because of disappointment.

"Honey, this will be over soon, just focus on your online class". Her mother answered.

While having an online meetup, Chrissy is having a hard time engaging due to technical problems.
"Sir, I've been disrupted. I can't hear you, Sir", she said with a little disappointment in her voice.

Walking through with folks in the town talking about the online class, they had already a backup online learning system.
"Hey mom? I overheard those people while I was just passing by. Since our internet connection here is kinda slow, can we have a backup online system? We could buy new wifi or something".

"Chris, we don't have enough money for that. You already know that".
"Okay mom, I'll find a way to buy a new one. If only I still have the job".

"Chris, I know exactly what you're thinking. I won't let you go in the city, especially nowadays".

"But mom, If I have a job at least I can pay for my tuition and buy things that are needed. This pandemic got us kicked out from our work. Tsk!".

"I'm late for work, Chris. The important thing about this pandemic is that we're all in safety. Bye honey", her mother said while hugging Chrissy.

Little did Chrissy know that her mother got fired from its previous job and still finding a new job that suits her since she just ended up being a High School graduate.

On a cold winter day, Chrissy plans to look for a job online. While looking for an available job her friend Ana chatted with her.
"Hey, Chrissy. Just wanna know if you're interested in working in the call center? AnswerPlus is hiring. I could refer you".
"I was looking for a job, Ana. Thanks for approaching me BTW. I'll send you my info via email".
"Okay, Chrissy. My pleasure".

Chrissy felt grateful as she sends all the information to Ana because finally, someone helped her enter a job. Another thought came to her about this pandemic. 'Here I am, with much higher hopes for the future. Although there has been a lot of disappointment, it pulled things out of me that I never knew I had in me'. She then smiled and realized how blessed she is.

The next day, someone called and told her she have been accepted as a call center agent at AnswerPlus. The smile on Chrissy's face is priceless. She decided to tell her mom about the good news.

Calling mom...
"Mom, the company just called today and exactly told me that I am being hired!"
"You didn't tell me anything about you, applying for a job. Anyway, good job honey. I'll be cooking something delicious for our dinner tonight. Love you, congrats!".

While having dinner, Chrissy's mom confronted her.
"You should've told me Chris. I know you're big enough to make some decisions of your own but at least consult your mother".
"Sorry, mom. I don't wanna be just stuck in here and suffer from a poor internet connection. I wanna help myself".
Her mom didn't say a thing.
"I'll be leaving tomorrow. And Ana told me I can stay in her place".
" If that's what you want. Just stay safe there, I don't want you to be sick and call me always okay?"
They hugged each other.

The next morning, they bid their goodbyes to each other.

--------------------------------------------------

Chrissy started her job while doing online activities and having zoom meetups. She's having a hard time managing it all. Sometimes she got no sleep because a bunch of activities was given, and having some difficulties in the lesson given which can't be easily learned. She realized that "At times the place I want most to be, it has also been the place I want most to run away from. Right now, I see the beauty in the feuds, the messes — and having a parent who would do anything to keep us safe and happy".

She immediately called her mother which gives her strength and her home.
"I miss you, mom. Wish you were here with me".
"Honey, I know you're tired. Take some rest, don't stress yourself out. I'm always here for you".

2 months have passed, Chrissy decided to resign as the coronavirus in the town got worse and she got to buy some stuff for her backup online system.

"I'm glad your home", her mother whispered.
" I'll always come home. Love you, mom".

Chrissy had a great internet connection which basically, do more activities. The experiences she encountered during the pandemic made her realized that the most important thing right now is being safe with your loved ones because we may never have this opportunity again. Having a feeling that we’re going to want to spend more time with each other after this all ends. She discovered to fully understand their strengths and weaknesses, armed with knowledge and can foster what she's good at, and helped her with what she needs to excel in every struggle.

It's about being bolder, and figure out what makes us come alive.
