jaemin smiled to himself, it hasn't been long since renjun last hung out at his place but usually, he'd feel nothing but for some reason, today, he felt excited-almost as if he's re-living his days falling in love with renjun

"hey nana." the elder smiled as he walked in to jaemin's apartment

"hey junnie, have you eaten?"
"yeah, i had breakfast with jeno earlier on."

jaemin frowned, "jeno?"
"yeah, the waiter from the ryan café, remember?"

unfortunately for jaemin, he remembered that dinner date all too clearly. "yeah, i do. you actually hung out with him?" he scoffed

"yeah, he's pretty chill."
"so you like him?"
"well, yeah, he's a good guy."

to renjun, jeno was only a friend and he made that very clearly to jeno when they met earlier that morning but to jaemin, jeno was stealing renjun away from him.

to say jaemin was jealous was an understatement.
he knew he wasn't in the position to be jealous. but he couldn't help it.

"so you like like him?"
"what? no. although he is really handsome." renjun chuckled

he scoffed, "i'm definitely more handsome than that waiter guy!"

the younger smiled to himself in relief.

he enjoyed the rest of the day with his injunnie. they decided to play games, watch moomin in the living room while having popcorn, and last but not least, their favourite activity to do together, they off the lights in jaemin's room and laid down on the bed as they talked- about anything and everything.

"hey, jun"
"yeah?"
"will you always be by my side? even if we're not dating anymore?"

the blonde paused. he wanted to say yes, he wanted to be by younger's side forever, even if it's just as a friend, but he couldn't. he knew he would be gone soon, whether he liked it or not.

the elder never liked lying, so, he never lied, ever, especially to na jaemin.

but for the first time today, he lied to his nana.

"of course i will." he faintly smiled

i'm sorry for lying to you, nana. i hope you understand.

"promise?"
"promise, nana."

"i will always be spiritually with you even if i'm not physically here." renjun closed his eyes, drifting off to sleep
