THE STORY OF HARRY POTTER AND ALL OF THE CHARACTERS BESIDES CAROLINE BELONG TO JK ROWLING (even tho we don't like her)
-
The sound of the trains flying by are so loud I can barely hear my own thoughts. It's my first day at Hogwarts and my mom can't even pay attention to me. She stays focused on her sister while she leaves me to talk to my cousin Hermione.
"Are you excited for your first day? I know you're gonna feel out of place considering you're starting here on your fourth year, and everyone else started on their first." Hermione actually seemed concerned on how I was feeling, it felt nice that someone was.
"I'm a little nervous, I feel like it'll all be fine until I figure out what house I'm in. What if I don't get Gryffindor like you, and I get Slytherin like my dad?" I started to feel myself getting really shaky. I was terrified of getting Slytherin, I mean who really wants to be in that house unless they're truly evil and are in love w voldy moldy.
"I'm sure you won't get Slytherin, you act nothing like them. Now I see Ron and Harry so I must introduce you to them. Could you say bye to your mom? The train should be here ang minute now anyways." I nodded my head yes at her and then turned towards my mom.
"Mom, I'm going to go with Hermione to meet her friends before the train gets here."
"Oh okay, bye sweetie I hope you have a wonderful time at Hogwarts. I'll write to you almost every day, I love you." She pulled me in for a tight hug but I just gently hugged her back.
"I love you too, bye," I gave her a small smile. Hermione grabbed my wrist and drug me over to Harry and Ron.
"Hi guys, this is my cousin Caroline, she's new here but she's in the same year as us." She had a big smile on her face as she introduced me.
"Oh I've heard quite a bit about you over the summer. Hermione seemed very excited to have a girl here to talk to." Ron kept his eyes mostly on Hermione as he talked. He looked at her the way my dad used to look at my mom, completely and utterly in love.
"Wow that's quite shocking, she acts if she never wants me around." Ron giggled at what I said and Hermione rolled her eyes.
"Are both of your parents muggles, like Hermione's?" Harry asked. He's been very quiet this whole time, maybe he doesn't talk much.
"Only my mom is. My dad was a wizard, he was put in the Slytherin house, which is what I'm hoping not to get."
"Oh that's cool, hopefully you get into Gryffindor like us. But don't let Malfoy find out you're a mudblood because you'll never hear the end of it." They all giggled at Harry's remark on whoever Malfoy is. I just smiled back.
The train had just pulled in, I followed Hermione, Ron, and Harry to a place to sit. Hermione pulls out a book, Ron and Harry start their own little conversation off to the side, and I just look out the window slowly breathing in and out preparing for the arrival at Hogwarts.
