The Forbidden Forest

Elliott huffed as they ran through the city gates of Imperial. Their parents had died when they were an infant and was put in an orphanage. After years and years of waiting, they decided to run away. After running for what seemed like forever they finally reached the Forbidden Forest. They knew that the guards wouldn't follow them in there for it was said that savage beast lurked in the depths of the forest. It was also said that the beasts took the form of your worst nightmares. Elliott's run slowed to a slow walk as they made their way carefully through the forest. Strong winds made the thick trees sway. When Elliott let their guard down bad things always seemed to happen. As if the world wanted to prove this, Elliott looked up at the sky right before they fell off a cliff. Luckily there was a large lake at the bottom of the cliff and Elliott didn't die. As Elliott swam to shore, they felt eyes watching him. When they got to land they saw a bright blue tail quickly sink into the water.

"H-Hello?" they called. They walked closer to the water as a figure swam toward them. A young boy no older than 14 rose from the water

"Hello. My name is Atlas" He had short, curly blonde hair, no shirt, and wet blue jeans.

"I-I'm Elliott." They stuttered. Their hand were cold until they felt something warm grab them

"Let me help you," Atlas said with a soft and caring voice.
