Something odd has been happening to Sasuke lately. Only Sakura has notice it. Naruto really doesn't care, but Sakura does. She has been worry every since they have encounter Orochimaru. It was getting late and they just return from a mission that they have given by Lady Tsuande. The way that Sasuke acted through out the whole mission, it is as though, he is becoming a whole different person. A side of Sasuke which she never seen before. A dark, hatered Sasuke.
They approached to the main gates, as they did, the team went their separate ways. Naruto wanted to get some Ramen, while Kakashi had to fill in on about the report that they just took. That leaves with only Sasuke and Sakura. Sakura wanted to say something about it, but she doesn't know of how to put it. Mostly only she and Kakashi Sensei knows about Sasuke's cruse mark. Naruto hasn't been told about it just yet.
Sakura approached Sasuke, feeling a bit nervous. She was a inch away when she notices that He had one of his hand on top of the curse mark. Her eyes began to shake just by thinking about it. Maybe he should take it easy for a while with the training. That is all she has to say. But it was no use. She couldn't get it through out her mouth.
She came to him. He glanced at her and she stopped. Sakura gave a smile. Sasuke looked away. He knows that she is concern about the way that he has been acting. But he didn't want to show it in front of the whole team.
"Um, Sasuke..." she started.
"Stop!" he demanded. She stopped as she was about to take a step further. "I know what your about to say, Sakura." he muttered. He gripped harder onto the cruse mark. "But there's nothing you or anybody else can do about it."
She narrowed her eyes. "I-I know, Sasuke. Its just that, Naruto might be noticing it as well. Even though the three of us is keeping it to him, I think we should-"
He gave her a sharp look. Sakura didn't say another word. She knew what that meant. "How many times do I have to say it?" he said as he was coming near her. She wasn't looking at him. "There's nothing he can do. Even if he did find out, you know of how he would react."
"I know. But still-"
"No. That's my final decision." Sasuke said as he was glaring at her.
Sakura felt her eyes becoming watery. She was getting angry with Sasuke about the Orochiaru situation.
"Hey guys." Kakashi appeared in front of them, but neither of them looked. Sasuke started to walk away from both Kakashi and Sakura.
Sakura was about to go after him when she didn't. She turned the other direction. She didn't want to speak or face him for a while.
Kakashi watched as the both of them walked away from each other. He knows that there is something going on. Kakashi knows that, Sakura is concern about Sasuke's limit with the curse mark. And even though it has a barrier around it, its still powerful enough to make Sasuke more wanting power by the day.
He gave out a sigh. Well, there's only one way.

Sakura was walking around town by herself. The way that he was looking at her, his expression, he is changing. His eyes are becoming more and more darker then ever. Why does it have to be him? Of all people, why Sasuke? She felt a tear coming down as she whipped it away. She wanted to tell Naruto about what has been happening, but she promised Sauske that she wouldn't.
"Hey Sakura!" she looked up and saw Naruto coming her way, waving at her. "Do you want to get something to eat?" he asked as he came close enough. She looked behind her seeing as though he wasn't there. She gave a nod. "Alright." he said excited.
Both Naruto and Sakura were at the Ramen Shop as Naruto was slurping down some Ramen. Sakura was eating as well, but not as much as Naruto was. She is still worried about Sasuke. Where did he go after when Kakashi Sensei came in? she wonder. She squinted her eyes. She had to find him after the meal.
"So Sakura, what do you think?" Naruto asked. But then he noticed that she wasn't even listening. "Hello, earth to Sakura."
She perked up. "Oh, sorry, Naruto. You were saying?" she asked nervously.
He shook his head. "I said how's the meal?"
"Oh, its good." she said as she started to eat again.
Naruto came closer to her. "Okay, Sakura, what gives?"
"Huh? What do you mean?" she asked.
"Every since we got back, you and Sasuke hasn't been speaking to each other that much. Why is that?" he asked.
Sakura narrowed her eyes. Should she tell him? She gave a smile that was fake but she tired and not show it. "Nothing. Really. You know how Sasuke is after missions." she muttered.
Naruto gave a nod. "Yeah I guest your right. Come to think about it, he's been acting weirder then usual. I mean a little too werid even for him."
Sakura gave him a look but Naruto didn't pay attention. After the meal, Sakura thanked Naruto and went on ahead on looking for Sasuke. she knows that he doesn't want to disuss about it, but she wants to know. She founded him.
He was practicing with his Chidori. Sasuke was trying to get stronger then before. Sakura stood out of the way while watching him with his attack. He was panting hard as his lighting was getting smaller. He stood up. She was wondering if he noticed yet.
"I told you to drop it." he muttered. Sakura narrowed her eyes but then decided on coming to him.
"I want to help, Sasuke." she said.
He made a fist. "No, you don't understand. I must do whatever is necessary by getting this power."
"Even letting him get to you?" she asked in worry. Sasuke didn't answer. He knew that Sakura wanted to help, but there was nothing she could do at this point. Sasuke was losing himself to the curse mark. Every since he got it at the exams, he has been using more then he should. He's afraid that he might hurt someone that he cares for. Suddenly, something strange was going on.
He looked behind him and saw her having her arms around him. Just like back at the forest. When the curse mark first appear. But only this time, she wasn't hurt at all unlike from before. Sasuke didn't bother of turning around. He knew of what she was doing. He knows that she cares for him and she doesn't want to see him getting hurt. Sasuke closed his eyes, he was hearing her cry.
He turned around and faced her. He lifted her chin up to see her eyes. Sakura knows that she is helpless on stopping him from wanting what he want. But she wanted to tell him of how she feels about him. And its not just because all the other girls were crazy over him, but its because it was the truth. She really did care for him and not just because of his is one of the strongest Shinboi ever to live.
Sakura took a hand and placed it onto his. Her eyes wouldn't stop becoming watery. She is scared of what the future is becoming for the team. Now that the creep, Orocihmaru is in their lives, how would they be safe?
Sasuke knows that she cares for him. That she wanted to be with him always. But he doesn't know if he should trust himself on doing that. He is scared for protecting her. And making sure that she is out of harms way. That is why he always acts the way that he acts around both her and Naruto. He wants to make sure that they stay out of his way for their own good.
Sasuke feels drawn to her. He wanted so much from her that it is getting hard on him to accept it like this. "Sasuke, its it true, that, I'm worthless?" she asked as she had her eyes narrowed.
He placed his hand onto her cheek as he made her face to him. Sasuke gave a smile at her. Her eyes were shinning along with the sun. He slowly shook his head. "No your not worthless, Sakura. You were never worthless."
She was relived to hear that from him. But he was still lost in the darkness. She wanted to become his light. She wanted to move away all the loneliest away from his heart. Sakura wanted to do everything she can to help him. She doesn't want to lose him. Not now, not ever.
They were coming in closer again. The way that he was against her lips, she felt a strong passion towards her. She has always dreamt for this moment to appear. Her lips against of his. The way that he was moving his hand up and down, from her face to her neck, he meant it. She never wanted this to end. If only for a while, if only time would stand still just for another moment or two, then they would be complete.
