Nearly complete silence. The only sound is my ears ringing. It's as though I've been locked in a dark room, for I cannot see anything either. Where am I?
Suddenly, through my ears ringing, I hear the faint sounds of people yelling in the distance. A strip of blurry light shows across the center of the room. Sirens, more yelling, my ears ringing louder. Suddenly I snap back to reality. A deafening rush of sound like a wave and a light as bright as the sun flood my senses. Yelling. Screaming. The sounds of feet rapidly hitting the ground. My vision still blurry, I see figures moving quickly, seemingly people sprinting, tripping over debris. What's going on? Then it hits me, the feeling of glass and debris under me, the sounds of it crunching under people's feet. The memory of the explosion. Remembering when everything went wrong.

General FictionFor my English class I had to describe a random scene, but my teacher thought it was nice and my parents and grandma were impressed so I'm working on making a whole story I guess.
