Ever wonder why your cat likes to go outside? Well it's because your cat serves your neighborhood cat queen. Basically, your outdoor cat has two roles to play by serving this queen, they are either a spy or a hunter.

Hunter (has shifts)

Hunters are the cats that find food for their queen by killing other animals. Your cat must pass a test at a young age to become this role. You can tell if your cat did not pass the test if they hunted for a year and then quit. Hunter cats are not able to become the queen.

Spy

Spies is the job for the cats that did not pass the test these cats are the cats that watch you and any other pets you have, (like a dog) This role does not have shift which therefore means these cats must go out more. These cats are able to become the queen.

Queen

The queen is selected within the group of spies because they can not hunt for themselves. Another thing is that all spy cats go up for election, while all hunter cast must cast a vote . Election runs for two days every four years on leap day.

If your pet like a hamster goes missing

Hunter cats: They would have murdered them or accidentally set them loose to give to the queen.

Spy cats: Was sent to the queen to examine.

Indoor cats

Some of you here might be thinking, "That's cool and all, but my cat is an indoor cat." If your cat is indoor this is probably why they are

Forced

Someone in your house does not let your cat out. Your cat has heard rumors of the queen but does not believe them anymore since they're stuck inside.

Retired

Your cat is too old for the job and has retired. If they want to and have the chance they will always go back to say hello.

Banished

They did something the queen did not like and was banished from coming back. Most likely your cat does not see any point of going outside anymore.
