When you thought you found the one.

The man who made you believe that he was the answer to all the love stories you’ve ever dreamed of. The one who made you think that maybe, just maybe, he was different from all the others.

You gave him everything you had—your trust, your love, your heart. You opened yourself up in ways you never thought you could. You allowed yourself to believe in the fairy tale, in the idea that this was it, this was the one.

But now, looking back, I can’t help but hear the words from that song:
"I did my best, but I guess my best wasn’t good enough."
And maybe that’s true. Maybe I did everything I could, and still, it wasn’t enough for you.

I gave everything I had. I gave my time, my love, my loyalty—everything. But in the end, it turns out I wasn’t the one you really needed.

You left me.

No.

You cheated on me.

And as much as it hurts to admit it, the only thing I can be thankful for is that you gave me my happiness... even if it was only for a short while. Even if it was all just a fleeting moment of peace in the chaos.
