Kennedy sat on the couch of her parents' home between her aunt and uncle, anticipating her parents' arrival. Her three younger sisters, Aurora, Murphy, and Vaughn sat on the floor a few inches next to her, playing with their dolls to past the time.

"Kenny!" Stephanie screamed out her daughter's nickname as she and her husband walked through the door of their Hartford home here in Connecticut.

"She's in here, Steph." She picked up her brother Shane say from the living room. They quickly made their way over there, seeing their eldest daughter holding an icepack to her cheek, eyes swollen from the crying.

"Oh honey, come here." Kennedy got up and moved into her mother's arms, hugging her tightly.

"Let me see, princess." Her dad asked, moving away the icepack away from her cheek to reveal the light red hand print that was left on her right cheek. Paul felt his blood start boiling again at the view of it.

Stephanie gave him a warning glance to not leave now. Their daughter needed to be comforted, not worry about her father going to jail for beating her now ex-boyfriend.

"It was much worse a couple hours ago, the ice seemed to help alleviate it." Stephanie's sister-in-law said, and she nodded.

"Thank you guys so much." Steph said thanking her brother and his wife as they gave Kennedy a small hug before disappearing.

"Why didn't you tell us that you got back together with Tommy, Kenny?" Her mom asked, and she shrugged her shoulders.

"Because I knew that you would be furious and disappointed and you know I hate disappointing you guys. Especially grandpa." Kennedy looked between her mother and father, who had faces of remorse.

"We would never be disappointed in you, Kenny. Maybe just angry for a little but never disappointed." Paul said, consoling his daughter and allowing her to rest her head on his shoulder.

"Mommy, is Kenny okay?" The youngest sibling, Vaughn said, getting up to sit on her mother's lap.

"Yes, V. Kenny will be okay, a bad guy just hit her." Stephanie explained to her daughter, who scrunched up her nose.

"Was is Tommy?" Vaughn whispered into her mom's ear and Stephanie nodded wistfully.

"He's a bad boy, I don't like him." Stephanie chuckled lightly and nodded her head, placing her daughter back down to play with her sisters.

Stephanie headed towards the kitchen, searching through her fridge for something to cook up. She gathered the ingredients to make Kennedy's favorite Clam Chowder. She noticed it was a little something that would cheer her up and make her feel a little better. There was still that twinge of resentment that she felt towards Tommy. Paul and her brother Shane would take care of it, she knew that, but she also knew Kennedy wouldn't let that happen. She was too nice, always giving people more than a second chance.

As she stuck around for the soup to boil, she stepped back out to the living room finding Kennedy and Paul fast asleep on the couch. Paul was leaning back on the recliner while Kenny laid her head on his shoulder, his other hand wrapping up to hold the icepack in place on her cheek. Stephanie smiled and looked on to her three younger daughters playing quietly while Kenny and dad napped. She was a daddy's girl, always.

The McMahon-Levesque family finished up dinner and the three little ones headed up to bed while Kennedy remained in the dinning room with her parents. Paul and Stephanie both knew that Vince wanted to see his granddaughter after what had ensued. They too had a suspicion it was for great reason. There was something that Vince had prepared, they didn't know what it was yet, but it was something.
