three years (Prologue)

BEGINING....

It's been three years since the Dark War. Like all wars they come to an end. This one should have, but it didn't. The war between Sebastian Morgenstern, The 'death bringing', 'killer of worlds' 'demon in disguise' over the years he has made a name for himself. He is never called Johnathan, People say he doesn't deserve that name, greatest Shadowhunters alive have that name or should I say....did. 'Johnathan Shadowhunter' the first ever Shadowhunter, and Johnathan Herondale (Jace Herondale) one of the greatest, fiercest warriors who ever lived.

In only a matter of months more than half the population of Shadowhunters and Downworlders alike have been wiped out, killed off or captured and tortured to death, or for Shadowhunters tortured and turned into soulless killers called the 'Endarked' for Sebastian's ever growing army. '

'I've seen one before, I wish I hadn't. They have the face of a human, but their minds are gone. No soul, looking at them in the eyes is like staring into an abyss.'

Shadowhunters are forced to kill their loved ones, family, friends and even Parabatai who have been turned, just so they could live to see another day.

It's been two years since I last saw someone like me, A Warlock. I've heard people once said that Warlocks could take down army's, tear worlds apart with just the flick of their wrists.

'It's such bullshit'

I've come across Shadowhunters, Werewolves, Vampires, Seelie's and Mundanes. Some don't even remember what Warlocks are supposed to look like, We are good at hiding, counseling our true forms, hiding the parts of us which makes us stand out, look unhuman or unnatural. Shadowhunters have changed too, with not enough seraph blades to go around weapons are tight, Steles are even hard to come by these days so Runes are basically off limits, unusable. You never realize how much Shadowhunters relied on their Runes to help them. Shadowhunters are no longer the brave fearless angel warriors-their scared, afraid of what is out there in the dark.

Not even Mundanes are safe, Once Sebastian rose to the surface with his army of demons and Endarked by his side he tore down the earth bit by bit, leaving nothing untouched. Mundanes were either killed on the spot of imprisoned and forced to drink from the mortal cup, some don't even survive the change to become a Shadowhunter. Then are forced into drinking demon blood to become 'Endarked' for Sebastian's army, slaves to his every desire. The few that do survive and manage to get away are taken in by Shadowhunters and Downworlders willing to lend a hand, still trying to save a world that has been broken for a long time.

Let me take you back to when the brave Shadowhunters and Downworlders risked their lives and entered Edom to kill Sebastian and end the Dark war. Their names have never been forgotten, never lost. Jace Herondale, Clary Fairchild, Alec Lightwood, Isabelle Lightwood, Simon Lewis and Magnus Bane. What should have been one of the glories days in history ending up being one of the darkest, it has been known that Clary Fairchild was trapped in Edom, forced to live by a queen by Sebastian's side. No one has seen or heard from Clary Fairchild. It has also been known that Magnus Bane, the most powerful Warlock, gave up his soul to his father Asmodeous to save his friends. But no one even knows if they made it out alive, or if they even are alive. Some people want to believe that they are still out there, planning and figuring out a way to finally bring an end to this war. Some also had hoped that another Magnus Bane would appear and save them all.

'People sometimes think I am, God I even believed it for a few years. Because my Warlock mark is cat eyes. Just like Magnus Bane. But I am nothing like him, No one is.'

'My name is Taurus, and I am a survivor, running for my life, hiding, and a killer of demons. And one of the last Warlocks on this earth. I will find more like me, hopefully there are enough of us left to defeat Sebastian or all we fall.'
