"Why must you still keep watch over him, dear?" A ghostly whisper sounded in my ear. I flinched and replied, "I can't seem to forget him, grandmother," I sighed. "I still love him so much." She rested her hand upon my shoulder reassuringly. "Beware the dark truth, and face it bravely." She then walked towards the white meadow and vanished.
I shook off the feelings of suspicion as I continued to watch. Invisible ghostly tears streamed down my pale cheeks and landed on nothing but empty air. I sighed and held in a sob. Today was the day of my funeral. My husband walked out of our bedroom with a black suit and grim expression. As I followed him to the ceremony, memories of my death flooded into my head. I remembered how I had died.
