Link glared at the creature, thinking "what is this thing made out of?" As he tried again and again to strike it with the master sword. "Can you keep him down any longer?" He asked the princess. "I'm afraid not ..I'm sorry" Links eyes widened as Zelda collapsed from the exhaustion of suppressing gannon's power for hours. The beast was now almost at full strength, which was horrible for both of them. The fight continued for days on end, Zelda regained consciousness, and Link finally gave in, tired from the extensive battle. When he was down, the beast made its way over to him and crushed him, and the contents of his head burst everywhere.. Zelda had managed to use the last of her energy to hold gannon back, even in the panic and grief of links death. Little did she know all the other champions had been killed as well.. "How long can I hold gannon?" She wondered in fear. Unfortunately, she would have to do so for many decades, with only the help of the memories of links encouraging words.
