Serendipity

Chapter 1

It was a hot day in the land of fire. It was also a boring day for Hagane Kotetsu and Kamizuki Izumo. Nothing new at the gates of the mighty village Konohagakure. The week had been more eventful than normal with the return of Uzumaki Naruto after four long years. Though that's all the excitement Kotetsu and Izumo thought they would get that week. No one else was set to arrive at the gates today, so with that in mind both chunin have long since settled down for a nap.

"Hoshimi-chan! Hiroaki-kun! Slow down!" a feminine voice shouts.

Both chunin jump up from their relaxed positions in surprise. That was not something they were expecting. No one was scheduled to check-in at the gate unless lady hokage received an urgent message. So to say that two toddlers running towards them with a young woman following behind is surprising would be an understatement.

"Uh-um... hello ma'am, uh... what business do you, uh ha-have in... um Konoha," Izumo asked, straightening out his headwear.

"Oh! Right! Sorry... um I was told to ask for... who was it?" The white haired beauty asked.

"SENJU TSUNADE-SAMA, MOMMY!" Both toddlers yell at the same time.

"Right, right! Thank you darlings. Um, I need to talk to Senju-sama," the woman says to the two chunin.

"And why do you need to contact lady hokage?" Kotetsu says, a little more composed than his comrade.

"It's about citizenship," She responds.

"Okay... Can we get your name down on record" Kotetsu responds grabbing a clipboard.

"Oh um, of course! That would be Senju Kazumi," The lady, now known as Kazumi, responds with a sweet smile.

"Okay, of course, this way Senju-sa-..." Kotetsu stops once the name registers.

Kotestu drops his pen and looks up, mouth wide open. Izumo, who was filing some papers, froze as well. Kotetsu's gaze switched between the name he had just written and the smiling face in front of him. They both do a double-take as they take in the long white hair and ruby red eyes. Finally noticing the striking resemblance to the Second Hokage.

"Is something wrong?" Kazumi says tilting her head while grabbing the children's hands.

"No-no, but did you say your last name was Senju?" Izumo stutters out.

"Ah, yes! Is there a problem, because I really need to speak with Senju-sama," She responds, tugging back the white haired toddler who tried to run off.

"Uh, not at all. Right this way Senju-san," Kotetsu says, leaving the booth.

Kazumi picks up both toddlers and sets them on her hips. Kotetsu motions her to follow with a face of disbelief. In the background, Izumo quickly sends a messenger hawk to inform Lady Tsunade she will be having visitors. Kazumi quickly follows the spiky haired chunin through the gates of Konoha. They walk through the bustling streets of Konoha. The white haired, onyx eyed toddler playing with Kazumi's hair. While the black haired, ruby eyed boy points at everything in amazement and curiosity.

A few minutes had passed by the time they reached the hokage tower. Kazumi stares up at the tower with a kanji for 'fire' written on it with fascination. The chunin motions towards the staircase apologetically with a look of despair and resentment. They ascend the staircase and almost reach the top. Kazumi is led through a hall towards a door, where Kotetsu politely knocks. A muffled 'come in' is heard through the door, giving them permission to proceed. Kazumi puts the toddlers down as she steps into the room. She sees a young, busty blonde sitting behind a desk sipping sake.

"Lady Tsunade-sama, you have a visitor," Kotetsu says bowing.

"Give me the paperwork and you can go to Hagane-san," Tsunade says, taking another sip of sake.

"Yes, lady hokage-sama," He responds, passing her the papers and leaving.

"Now that he's gone... what's your name miss?" Tsunade asks before picking up the papers.

"That would be Senju Kazumi, Senju-sama," She says sweetly with a soft smile.

Tsunade stops and finally looks at the young girl standing in her office. Two toddlers huddle behind her. The girl, named Senju Kazumi, has hip length platinum white hair and red eyes. Her hair looks silky and soft to the touch as it cascades down her slender yet curvy feature. The girls sparkling ruby red eyes are set into a pale complexion. Her features are sculptured, yet soft. She has short stature with a fit body that appears to have curves in the right places. Like Tsunade she has quite the big bust, but it doesn't look out of place on the young girl. She resembles a Senju, in fact the resemblance between this girl and Tsunade's great uncle are striking.

Tsunade then directs her attention to the two toddlers clutching Kazumi's legs shyly. The girl has chest length white hair that is held up in low pigtails. Unlike her mother she has bright onyx eyes. Her face full and pale, clearly still having baby fat. The boy appears to be the total opposite of the small girl. He has slightly spiky black hair with stunning ruby eyes that resemble Kazumi.

"And they are?" Tsunade questions clearly hinting towards the children.

"Oh, right. This is Senju Hoshimi and Hiroaki, my kids," Kazumi responds, pushing the children forth.

"There father?" Tsunade questions pushing her sake bottle away and getting serious.

"Ah! It's all in this scroll he told me to give to you, and only you," The young mother says, digging out a scroll.

She hands the scroll to Tsunade who is sitting at the desk with her arms crossed. Tsunade quickly opens the scroll and reads the given information. It states the girls age is about seventeen, as well as the twins age being around one and a half. It does not state much but basic facts and information. The other included information was quite astonishing.

"Where did you come from? Last I checked I was the last Senju," Tsunade asks, continuing to glance over the scroll.

"Ah! I was created in one of Orochimaru-sans using the DNA of Senju Tobirama, a little bit of Senju Tobirama's DNA, and an unnamed female Senju. So I happen to be a full blood Senju with wood release that was unnaturally conceived. I believe this makes us family, Tsunade-sama," Kazumi states with a closed eyed smile.

"Orochimaru huh? I should have known," Tsunade states, closing up the scroll. She seals it in a desk draw hoping to come back to that information at a later date. As of right now there are other important topics; getting this little Senju settled in.

"Well, that about settles it for now, little cousin. Why don't I get you set up and-" The fifth hokage was then cut off. The door to her office slammed open with a loud bang, making the small children jump. A boisterous voice soon follows the loud entrance.

"HEY! Grandma Tsunade! We're back!"

Hi everyone! I'm sure you can already tell who barged in! To clarify this event happened while Naruto is fighting the Akatsuki to save Gaara. This being said I'm going to adjust the story a bit so these new characters fit. This does mean Sasuke is going to be a bit different and more open with his family.

I can always come back and revise my stiff chapters. But what do you all think so far? Should I do a character page for the next update? I think I might but tell me what you all think. I am going to update or add more character pages as the story goes on as well. I will probably draw the characters myself when I am less busy (I'm in my Junior year of highschool so I'm going to be pretty busy). Until them the character pictures will be as close as possible. Unless anyone makes fanart!
