Chapter 3

"You're- you're right. I do need something in my life," Aurora hiccuped.

Luke smiled, "How about I go with you to find a pet?"

"Would you? That would be so great, Luke," Aurora asked hopefully.

"Anything for you," Luke said bopping Aurora on the nose.

For the rest of that night, Luke and Aurora sat on her couch and watched movies. Luke would ask Aurora questions to keep her mind off of Calum. He knew she needed it.

Luke tried hard to be the stability that Aurora needed, and as long as she needed him, he would be there offering a hand or a shoulder no matter the circumstance.

Aurora woke up the next morning with her head on something, or someone rather.

She lifted her head up to see Luke. He was snoring slightly with his mouth hanging open slightly.

He looked really peaceful, but she had to wake him. Aurora really wanted to go to the pet store.

"Luke?" she asked nudging his sleeping body.

He stirred a little, but then turned over and curled into a ball.

"Luke!" Aurora yelled pushing him.

She pushed him so hard that he fell off the couch. Aurora stifled a laugh and grabbed his hand.

"Oh my gosh! Luke are you okay?" Aurora asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine you little shit," Luke said getting up rubbing his back.

Aurora laughed before asking, "Can we go to the pet store today?"

"I don't see why not," Luke said smiling.

Aurora clapped her hands. She ran and hugged Luke. He wrapped his arms around her planting a kiss on her head.

"Go on, princess Aurora. Get ready, so we can go," Luke laughed.

"Don't call me that!" Aurora said hitting Luke's arm.

Aurora ran off to her room where she stripped her clothes off. She found her phone in her pocket and plugged it in to her charger.

She went to her bathroom and turned the water on. While it heated up, she finished getting undressed.

Aurora stepped into the shower letting the warm water fall down her body. Surprisingly, she didn't have as bad of a headache today as she did yesterday.

Once she had washed her hair and body, she stepped out of the shower.

She dried her hair and left it to be naturally wavy. She went to her closet and put on a bra and underwear.

She found a pair of dark blue skinny jeans, her white converse, and a white tank top. She also found a dark gray cardigan. It was one of the girlier outfits she owned, but she was trying to bring back the old her.

She got dressed and quickly did her makeup. She put on deodorant and a little perfume before running back down stairs to Luke. She grabbed her phone as well.

As she got to her living room, she checked the notifications she had. All of them were from Calum.

He had called 15 times and texted almost twice as much. His texts ranged from things like

"Where the fuck am I?"

"Why do I smell like sex?"

"Why am I naked?"
