Chapter 52

AUGUST POV

I woke up the next morning to an empty bed. Or should I say couch ?
Brit came home with Aj but she made sure I knew that I was in the dog house.

I pulled my 6" body frame off the couch and immediately felt Myself cramping. This some bullshit. I knew one thing even if her ass was still mad I ain't sleeping on no couch. That's for damn sure.

I turned around when I heard a noise and seen the last thing I wanted to see. I couldn't help my face from falling into a frown.

" Bad enough I had to sleep on the couch and you just going prance your fine ass down here with my Avery in your hands like its nothing ? Gimme my damn daughter " I said snatching her from Brit.

She mugged me " as long as you know I'm fine. We straight " her conceited ass spoke switching past me.

I ignored her and hugged Avery.

" Daddy sorry. It won't be another day you won't wake up to see me. I love you " I said kissing her forehead. When she seen me her whole face lit up. It went from yellow to red and it was the cutest thing I've seen since the last time I seen her.

" Awe somebody excited to see daddy " I cheered her happiness was always contagious.

Something good came out of the day. My daughter because my son is a damn traitor.

" Good morning ma " Aj exclaimed. I looked at him. Really we being that childish ?

I shrugged I had to be the bigger person.

" Aj I know you see me standing here "

" Oh yeah Hey Avery. My favorite sister "

" She's your only sister " Brit chimed in.

" Aj. You only mad cause your mother mad. " I insisted

" maybe .... maybe not " he said with a sly smirk.

" Aj think about it. For one the shit was funny " I paused watching his face get serious

" for two. Imagine Avery has a b...b.." I stopped not being able to get it out. It hurted just thinking about it.

" Boyfriend ? " AJ said with a mug. I guess the thought alone made him mad too.

I nodded my head " yeah that. Wouldn't you go crazy to protect her from him ? "

" Hell yeah. " He said in a hard manner.

" Well multiply that feeling by 4 and now you'll see how a father feels when it comes to there little girl. Your bound to do hella stupid shit to be there for yo baby girl " I preached honestly.

He let out a deep breath and ran his fingers along the counter top.

Even tho Avery is my favorite daughter , Aj is my favorite son. So I'd hate for him to be mad at me. Although he's a boy so I'll let him walk around mad for a few days before I consult him. I'd never do that with Avery. I'd never want her mad at me.

" Well aren't you father of the year " Brit said bitterly.

I wasn't used to her talking so salty. So I knew it was deeper than her being mad about me thinking what Eric did was funny.

" What's the deal ? Yeah I thought it was funny. What don't I think is funny ? "

" Just let it go "she said throwing her hands up.

Just like Brit wanting to sly her way out of a situation so she don't have to express her feelings. It made me mad so I went over to where she was at and snatched her around lightly so she was facing me.
