Fictional
I know they say you are fictional
And that you have no place in reality.
I know they say you don't exist
And that I should stop obsessing.
They think that I am crazy
For loving you so much.
They think that I am weird
For talking about you like you exist.
But I challenge their views
On what they think exists
Because if you did not exist
I could not obsess so much.
You exist on paper as a living person
Who breathes on paper, who feels on paper.
The great shame of this reality
Is that I am not on that paper too.
Because I read a lot of books
With a lot of different worlds.
My mind has travelled many places
That my body will not go.
I have met many different people
And connected with many plots.
What exists only on paper
Makes my reality sound.
What they don't seem to understand
Is that you exist in my mind
And that makes my world
So much better and interesting.
If you didn't exist on paper
Then I probably wouldn't exist in reality.
You, who lies on paper
Makes my reality real for me.
