I wake up hyperventilating and drenched in sweat, another nightmare. I sit up in my bed and put my hands to my forehead, wiping off the sweat and fear. It was only a nightmare. I have to keep telling myself. I swing my legs to the side of my bed and pull myself out to go take a shower. The warm water feels so good on my skin, I start washing my hair, I feel the shampoo bubbles grow as I lather it in my hair. As I lean my head back to rinse bubbles and water wash over my face, I get the feeling I'm being watched. I quickly bring my head out of the water to see a figure in my bathroom just standing there, I feel soap get close to my eyes so I rush to wipe off my face, after I take the towel away from my eyes I no longer see a figure standing in my bathroom. Maybe I'm going crazy. I joke to myself but shrug it off and continue with my morning routine. While getting dressed I hear a car door shut outside in the driveway, when I make my way over to the window to see who it is I don't see any car in the driveway other than my own. Again I shrug it off and continue with my morning, suddenly I hear a knock on the door. I freeze in my tracks, I feel a sinking feeling through my entire body and I start to feel cold, I know the feeling all too well. I quietly sneak to the door to look out the peephole to find...nothing. What is happening to me, am I hearing things now?
