Chapter 1
DIANA DRAMA
"Stop! Diana, why don't we play something else...Like basketball?" shouted Olivia. "We played that anyways. I am going to and playing with my friends!" "Yeah sure!" Olivia rolled her eyes. Diana stormed out of the room, leaving Olivia alone. "As if she has anyone as a friend other than me," Olivia muttered angrily.
LATER THAT EVENING
Olivia got bored lying on her bed and staring at the ceiling. So, she thought she would go near the basketball court and see how the seniors played to learn some techniques. When she entered the ground, she saw the seniors in one-half court; she looked around as that was unusual; they mostly take the whole court.
Then she saw Diana, with some random people. "Oh, hi, Diana, may I join?" Olivia asked. Surprisingly, Diana did not answer; instead, she rolled her eyes, turned toward her friends, and she muttered, "Let us get out of here, don't want to stick around with her here." They all giggled and brushed past Olivia, and then Diana turned around and made an 'L' at her. Olivia was hurt and shocked; she did not know what to do. She ran home with tears streaming out of her eyes
AT HOME
When she reached home, she ran upstairs, slammed, locked the door, jumped on her bed, and started crying. Finally, she stopped crying, but her eyes were still red.
She went down the stairs slowly......she then went into the kitchen where her mom was preparing supper. She slowly explained everything to her mom, sobbing a bit in between. "What were you doing in the court!?" her mom screamed after hearing her story. "Playing......? What else do you in a basketball court?" Olivia muttered. "Olivia you know I don't like those sweaty games, and so even you shouldn't, now darling, taste this sweet and tell me if it tastes okay," her mom said, bringing a weird orange thing closer. Olivia gagged and went back upstairs.
She wanted her father to return from that business trip quickly, but she knew he would not return until the next month . She sighed.
AT NIGHT
Olivia heard her mom call her for supper; she finally got up from her bed and went to the nearest washroom. "I like that game, and no one, not my mother; not Diana; not even my father can stop me," Olivia said through gritted teeth. She quickly washed her face. When she was running down the steps, she heard a doorbell. "Oh boy, why does everyone want to come when I am about to jump off the 5th step?" Olivia moaned.
When she opened the door, she saw Diana standing there. Without wasting any more time, Diana spoke up, "hey I am sorry for what happened in the evening, the indian girl with me. She wants only one friend, and she is not letting me have any more friends, so......." "Oh yeah, right, and I expect she told you to roll your eyes and make that embarrassing 'L' sign at me!?" Olivia screamed, scaring Diana a bit. "I am just apologizing and explaining to you for my rudeness. If you do not want to accept it and keep on fighting, then I am not made for your kind of people...what are they called? Oh yeh, 'RUDE PESTS'!" Diana screamed. "Well then, I am not made for you, girl, get on with it, and don't you dare again to step on those daisies, I grew them!" Olivia shouted back.
"What was that, honey...?" Olivia's mom asked, placing those orange things on the table. "Aww, are we are having that for dinner," Olivia threw up a little in her mouth. "If you have a problem with it, you can say goodbye to that basketball court......" her mom growled. "And say hello to dresses and skirts," Olivia sighed.
"augh....... Seriously I hope I get selected in one of the teams this year...." Olivia whispered to herself, lying on the bed. She then had thoughts of her being the greatest basketball player alive, and with these sweet thoughts, she slept.
