Julie and her Phantom

chapter 1

Julie's POV

I couldn't believe what was happening. In that one moment I was able to touch them, to touch him. It felt even better than my daydream in class. I hugged them even tighter. This was it, the proof that I hadn't been dreaming, proof they are really here with me.

''I think this is going to be my new favorite hobby'' Reggie said. We all laughed. I could't describe what I was feeling at that moment. Like I suddenly stopped carrying the weight of the world on my shoulders. Yes, the guys were still dead, but they weren't in danger anymore.

''Don't think you're getting this every day'' Alex replied, but I heard him smiling. Slowly I'm stepping backwards, away from the guys. Luke is looking at me with that cute smile of his. He looks like a child who just got a lot of candy from Santa. I wished I could take a picture of that moment, where everything felt normal.

''It's weird. A good weird of course, but how is it that we can suddenly touch? After we tried so many times'' Luke asked. Reggie shruged. ''It's anyone's guess really'' I smiled. ''Maybe it was something we were working towards. We formed a bond, a connection. A relationship not many people have, stronger than death. Isn't that amazing?''

Luke came to me and he grabbed my face the same way he did a few minutes ago. ''This is perfect'' We both smiled at each other. Behind us Alex and Reggie whispered. ''So much chemistry''

I didn't look away from Luke when I said: ''you remember that moment in my room where you told me you were kind of unbreakable, Alex?'' He nodded. ''Guess that's not true anymore huh'' Before he saw it coming, I turned around and slapped his arm playfully. Alex, as the drama queen that he is, dropped on the couch, screaming in pain, as if he was dying. All of us started laughing really hard.

''You know, I expected more sympathie you know'' Alex complained from the couch. That made us even laugh harder.

And in that moment I realised how perfect my life was again. My mom wasn't here anymore, but she gave me something in return. She gave me 3 amazing guys and even more amazing friends who helped me so much. I couldn't wait to spend the rest of our time together.

Hi there, this is the first chapter. Please let me know what you think. It's a bit short, I'll try to make the other chapters a bit longer. This was kind of a prologue, a transition between the series and this book.
