(The girl above is Sierra)

***************************************************************************************

My name is Sierra. I'm American, 24 years old, about a metre and a half tall, a bookworm, have brown hair and eyes- mabye kinda pretty. Average sort of girl i guess.

I'm also an actress. I've been in a couple of TV episodes and adverts, as extras and side characters- I haven't had any major roles in any famous movies.... that was my big dream.

But that all changed the day I got the phone call.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I waved at my best friend from the window seats at Costa's. I had constantly been filming for the set of adverts I was in for the whole week, starting at 7 in the morning and ending at 7 in the evening, with a few short breaks in between. It was a stressful job and seriously, who can even go a single DAY without chatting to their friends?

Lily (thats my best friend from high school) rushed through the glass door and sat down opposite me, grinning.

"Hey Sia! How you doing girl?!" she squealed. Sia is the nickname she gave me. I really hate it but because she's my best friend, she's allowed to get away with it. NO ONE ELSE is allowed to call me that.

I smiled back and replied, "Great! Been a bit stressful, with all the filming going on and stuff, how about you?"

"I'm shucking brilliant!" (The Maze Runner series are our ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE BOOKS OF ALL TIME. High fives to all them Tmr fans out there!)

"It's hard work, ya know, being the librarian of a busy library in the centre of the city," She winked.

I snorted. The library where Lilly works is about as well-known as a single leaf in the Amazon Rainforest and as far out of the city as you can get.

We ordered vanilla frappuchinos (those things are the BEST) and blueberry muffins and talked late into the afternoon. That's one of the things I love about Lilly. She helps me get my mind off things and reconnect with the outside world.

--------------------------------------------------------------------

*Later on that evening*

I hopped out of my blue Honda and into my semi-terraced house. It was medium-sized, with two bedrooms, a small kitchen, a bathroom and a nice-sized garden. I shared it with my cat, Skye.

Quickly I scrubbed my face clean of makeup and changed into my oldest, most comfy pyjamas and fluffy slippers before sitting down to watch 'This is Us' with a mug of hot chocolate and marshmallows. I've never liked tea- it was so bitter and tasteless- but if I really needed it, like after a long day at work, or if I wanted to stay up late, then I would have some.

I'd just got to the climax of the program when my phone began to ring. Sighing, I paused the program and picked up the phoe.

"Hello?"

"Hi! Is this Sierra Williams?"

" Erm... Yes"

"Ok you auditioned for the part of an extra in the Maze Runner, right? Well, you got the part!"

I jumped about three feet in the air and started screaming a bit.

"OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!"

I stopped before i embarrased myself further.

"Do you have the rest of the cast confimed?"

"Oh, yes we do. I can email them to you if you like?"

"Yes that would be great, thank you!"

"Brilliant. Bye!"

Slowly I sat back down again. I can't wait to find out who the rest of the cast are. I wonder if it'll be anyone famous. Smiling like an idiot, I snuggled closer into the sofa and resumed the program.
