Chapter 1

(Before the story can begin, I want to say that your suggestions will be valued in the production of this story. Please enjoy, and do not judge me because this is my first fanfiction. Also, this will only take place in Henry's POV, however there will be italics to show descriptions from outside his point of view. Thank you, and enjoy. - Justin Flareguard)

                                                                                   Prologue

Panting is heard, along with the sound of footsteps running. A girl in a white dress is seen clutching onto a cylindrical bag. There are two workers dressed in white suits chasing her. She takes a right, only to stop in front of two people in what appear to be space-suits. She looks around, seeing that she is surrounded. Suddenly, a blue light comes from her bag. Then, after a bright flash of light, the girl is gone. And this was just the beginning of a series of events that would change the world.

                                                                       END OF PROLOGUE

"Mrow!" I hear, as I open my tired eyes. "Mkay, I'm getting up," I say, groggily. "Meow!" the Kanto Meowth cried as it left my room. My name is Henry Flareguard, I'm 15 years old, and I was raised in the Johto region. I don't remember where I was born, but my mom said that she found me on her doorstep, crying. After 15 years, we moved to Alola to escape Johto's noisy city life. I got out of bed, slipped on my shoes, then went to see my mom. "Good morning," my mom said to me as I came out of my room. "Hey, Mom," I yawned in reply. I looked at the table to see that my breakfast was ready; cereal with Oran Berry juice. After I had breakfast, I went back to my room, grabbed my bag, hat, and Trainer passport, then proceeded to head out. "Bye, sweetie!" my mom called as I left. "Bye, Mom!" I called back. Professor Kukui told me to meet him in Iki Town to give me something. But before I could get through the grass, a Yungoos came out and attacked me. Suddenly, I heard a hoot, a meow, and a bark. Then, a small owl, a black and red kitten, and a blue sea lion with a light-blue frill stepped in front of me to defend me. They frightened off the Yungoos attacker, and saved me. "Thank you all," I said to the three of them. Then, I heard a voice say, "Hey, are you alright?" "Yeah, I'm fine," I said in response. The one I heard was none other than Professor Kukui. "Good, glad to hear that," the Pokemon Professor sighed in relief. Then, the three Pokemon made their respective cries to him. "Well, it seems that these three want to go with you," he told me. "Really?" I asked. "Yeah! They really want to go with you," he confirmed. He then asked the three Pokemon to step onto a tiny hill. Then, he told me the names of the three. They were Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio. Rowlet was a Grass- and Flying-type Pokemon, Litten was a Fire-type, and Popplio was a Water-type. He let me choose which one was going to be my starter Pokemon. After careful consideration, I chose Rowlet. "I want to have a Flying-type Pokemon to help me out on my adventure," I said. "Alright then," Kukui said, "Now we need to see if Rowlet chooses you." After he said that, I stepped away from Rowlet. It wasn't even a second before it flew towards me. It had a excited look on its face. "I hope we become great friends, Juniper," I said happily. And that is just the beginning of a big journey.
