Recap of the Story So Far

The television series revolved around a 19-year-old girl named Monya, the daughter of a poor watchman. She spent her childhood shifting from city to city with Murari Lal, who adored and protected her. Living in a chawl, she often dreamt of becoming a princess and living a life of dignity.

Years later, after moving to Mumbai, Monya's life took a dramatic turn when Murari was arrested. She discovered that she was not just Monya, but Rajkumari Manyata, the Crown Princess of Devgarh. Murari had kidnapped her when she was three years old to avenge his wife and children, who died in an accident caused by Maharaja Brijraj, Manyata's biological father.

Before returning to her royal family, Manyata fell in love with a common boy named Akash. But destiny had already written a different chapter for her — the heir of Jaigarh, Yuvraj Udayveer Singh, had been engaged to Manyata since childhood and had been her closest friend.

After Manyata's return, Uday tried rebuilding that friendship, confident that her affection for Akash was nothing more than infatuation. Instead, he found himself falling deeply in love with her. Manyata, however, remained loyal to Akash, which broke Uday's heart — she chose an ordinary boy over a prince.

Meanwhile, her younger sister Princess Jainandini had developed feelings for Uday. Believing Manyata was gone forever, the family had nearly arranged their engagement — until Manyata reappeared and shattered J's dreams. This sowed resentment, jealousy, and a vow to destroy Manyata's peace.

In a fit of frustration, Uday confronted Akash. A fight broke out and Akash accidentally fell off a cliff. Jainandini filmed the incident and began blackmailing Uday, knowing Manyata would never see it as an accident—but murder.

While Manyata worked to find the missing Akash, her rebellious attitude pushed Rajmata to consider Jainandini as the new heir. Manyata pleaded for one final chance, and the royal priest devised three tests. Despite J's sabotage, Manyata won and was declared Yuvrani of Devgarh.

Before her coronation, Jainandini attempted to assassinate her multiple times, but fate crowned Manyata as the 21st heir of Devgarh. Uday planned to confess his love immediately after, but before he could, the truth about the cliff incident came out. Newly armed with power, Manyata had Uday arrested.

In retaliation, Jainandini caused Rajmata's accident, pushing her into a coma. Uday was released on bail and revealed the contract that bound Devgarh and Jaigarh: the heir of Devgarh must marry the heir of Jaigarh, or Devgarh's estate would pass to a trust.

Manipulated by J, Manyata signed documents that secretly sold her palace. Shockingly, Uday himself bought it — and demanded marriage in exchange for signing it back. Unwilling to lose everything, Manyata agreed, not out of love, but through a contract: the palace would return to her on the day of the engagement.

Spending time together reignited old feelings — not for Akash, but for Uday. Meanwhile, Jagat Singh Rathore, J's ex-fiancé, re-entered her life. He introduced a handsome politician's son named Aryan — who turned out to be Akash, alive and vengeful.

As the wedding approached, Manyata became torn between past and future. Just as she realized she loved Uday, she ran away to meet Akash one last time. When he revealed his plan to destroy both royal families — and take pleasure in Uday's downfall — she chose Uday without hesitation. But it was too late. Uday, betrayed, called off the wedding.
