Chapter Twenty Two

Start from the beginning

"So?" Jack said. "Uh, hello?" I said and looked at Jack, "You're talking about your best friends mother."

"and you'll end up in a crate being fed table scraps," Gabrielle said, continuing to threaten us. There was a long pause between the five of us. "Fine," Hamish said, "We'll take your stupid test too."

"If you can help us figure out how," I said. "Please, I can do anything," Gabrielle got up from the stool, "Except look bad in these pants." Gabrielle pushed the stool back and walked towards the door. "With all do respect," Hamish said, "She does look good in those pants." I glanced at Hamish, hitting his shoulder. "She killed Kyle, remember?" I said, "She was the reason why you got stabbed." Hamish shrugged and stirred his straw.

"I'm alive am I?"

"Yes," I said and lower my head, "I've got to go study for that test." I got up from the table and swung my purse over my shoulder. "It's in Ethics test," Randall said, "Do you really need to study?" I shrugged and pushed my stool down. "I'll walk you to your apartment," Randall said, getting up from the table as well.

"We'll see you two boys later," I said. Randall and I walked towards the door. "See you later lover birds!" Hamish and Jack exclaimed. I stuck my middle finger up at the two boys as we walked away. Randall put his hand on my lower back, leading me to my apartment.

Randall and Hamish sat on separate chairs in the middle of the den. Each of them held cloth bags in their hands. Randall sniffed it, recoiling from the mildewy smell. "It's a glamour," Gabrielle walked behind the two, "Totally safe."

"Now put those sacks over your heads and shut up," Gabrielle ordered. Randall and Hamish  looked at each other, sighing. "This'll work, right?" I said, "Like they won't, stay like this?"

"No," Gabrielle said, "Everything will be just fine." The boys put the sacks on their heads. "Oculi veteres forma nova," she poured the wax on the top of Randall's head then Hamish's, "Oculi veteres forma nova." There was a low howling sound then Gabrielle stepped back. She finished the incantation and blew the candle out. "Take them off," she said. They took the sacks of as directed. "I don't feel different," Hamish said.

"You look different," I said, "It actually worked."

"This seems wrong," said Hamish, poking his face. "And probably sexist...I don't know," Randall said, "I can't tell anymore." Randall scratched the back of his neck, but continued to twirl around. "The spell only lasts three hours," I said, "Until the, as far as everyone is concerned. It's just me, you and Hamish."

"Just makes sure you finish the exam before time runs out," Gabrielle said, "Oh! Here!" She walked over and grabbed two pairs of clothes. She handed them to Randall and Hamish. "I look amazing," she said, "Turn around, let me see." Randall grinned, turning around.

"We should get going," I said, "Don't want to waste anymore time

I sat in between 'Randall' and 'Hamish', looking down at my paper. Randall fidgeted in his seat as he desperately tried to do the test. "Y/N/N, Y/N/N," Randall repeated, "Y//N/N....." I continued to ignore him as I looked at the paper. "Y/N/N," he continued.
