"Epel, you should accompany Rook with this task," Vil commanded after knowing that the youngest guard cannot refuse his order.

The young guard frowned. If he didn't obey him, maybe his family will also get killed or worse, maybe other people who are close to him will lose their lives.

"I... I understand, Prince Vil." Keeping his eyes closed as he answers, Rook also answered 'yes' for this sinful task given to them.

"If that so, you two should get ready tomorrow." The prince paused, handing Rook a box made with golds and diamonds. "To prove that you killed her, you should put her heart in this box. " it wasn't like Vil at all. That box was so beautiful yet he chose to have your heart stored in it. Does he have any other intentions other than killing you? who knows?

His guards did nothing but nod and stepped out of the certain place they're in. Rook looks confident, however, Epel was feeling the opposite. He can't kill his own cousin who he spends time in his childhood.

"Why are you frowning, Monsieur Apple?"

"N-Nothing, Rook. Nevermind me and u-uh... I'm fine, I promise" Epel stuttered. He wanted to meet you now but he cannot do that since the palace is too big for him to search alone and you're definitely busy at this time. Not only that, but Rook is also beside him. Rook whispered something on Epel's ear, before pushing him lightly from behind.

"w-what the!? Epel!" raising your voice, you accidentally plucked the flower you were touching earlier. "Ah, sorry!" he says, sprinting towards you. 

he was holding a basket of red apples which was handed to him by the certain guard or should we say, a hunter. "Why are you here? aren't you supposed to be at the palace right now?" out of curiosity, you looked at the apples. It looked very appetizing and very tempting to eat--

"Do you want some?" he asked without hesitation while taking an apple from the basket. You didn't realize that he didn't answer your question at all but it's okay, as long as he'll offer you an apple. "Duh, of course!"

not showing any sign of nervousness, your cousin hands you the apple. Red as blood, fresh as if it was only picked minutes ago. "hey, now. I won't eat this unless you eat an apple too" you pouted. "I don't like eating alone while you're beside me."
