"Come Eat Dinner Sweet Pea!" My mom yelled from downstairs. "Coming!" I said. I walked down stairs and saw my family eating pizza. "Yes" I said sitting in my seat. I took a bite of my pizza. My dad turned on the news. "Welcome Back to Galveston News!" The Tv said while playing the News Music. "Todays were tracking the tropics!" The news reporter said. I couldn't help but notice how cloudy it was today. I mean in Texas it always rains. But today it was just cloudy.. Weird huh. I shrugged my shoulders. "Today We have some movement on the radar of a tropical storm forming." The news reporter said. "OoO" My brother said. "The news reporter went up to the screen to show where it was forming." "So far its a Category 2." He said very calmly. "Heading toward the Gulf of Mexico." he said. "What!?" My dad yelled. Which totally shook me. "Heading in the Galveston and Houston Area." he said. Right after he said that the door bell ringed. Suspiciously I walk over to the door and open to see my cousins which are the same age as me and go to my school. There my bffs. "Hi?" I said confused. "Hi, we are here to stay with you during the hurricane." Annie said. I peeked out to see a peek of the sun nd the ocean waves starting to get higher than usual. "This really is happening.." my mom said. "Come On Son we're gonna board up the windows." My dad said pushing his chair in. My brother jumped out of the seat. Right before they were gonna walk out. All of our phones started buzzing. "Probaly an amber alert ." I said. We all took out our phones and got an alert. It was for the hurricane. In just a 30 minutes the hurricane turned into a category 3..."Go!" My dad yelled. We all went our seperate ways to prepare for the horrible storm coming our way..
