I flip a page and continue to read here at the bar counter.

He was known for his strong sense of justice and bravery, striving for peace for every nation. Not only he unified the three kingdoms, but he also conquered in every battle that his nation faced. His recognition made him become the unified nation's first Emperor.

"That sounds heroic." I take the last sip of my Cappuccino. It's heartbreaking, but I continue to read anyway.

Kwon Ji-Ryu, the crown princess and the firstborn daughter of the Emperor, was admired by everyone for being the most beautiful and intelligent woman. But she was not known only for her beauty, but also her dedication to rule the empire as the first Queen without a King.

However, her coronation was halted by a horrifying catastrophe, leading to a tragic death to the people and the damage inflicted on the kingdom. Since then, the dynasty has stopped, leading us to our current era with peace.

"Wow." Placing my empty mug, I stretch my neck from stiffness. I guess I'm reading for a while now while waiting for my mates to take over for the night.

There are only a few customers in the pub today so I'm free to finish this History book that I borrowed in a public library. I'll be returning the book today then.

I should still be learning to bartend, but being an orphan without anyone adopting you for being a geek with a dick craves you to learn more things.

I never get to experience studying in a school. I would love to, but I'm too old to be in elementary and unqualified to be in college. So I work my ass out in YG's Pub where I work as a barmaid.

"Queen Kwon Ji-Ryu." I get lost in a daze, admiring the queen with my palm on my chin.

She's so cool. How she's ready to rule her empire without a King. Too bad she wasn't able to rule her kingdom. She'd probably be a legend by now.

"Ah, I wonder if this book is updated." I flip the book, checking its publishing information. I bet her corpse has already been found right now.

I close the book until I feel shivers down to my spine. I look around inside and outside the pub. There's no one watching me.

I've been feeling watched these past few days. Whenever I go, it seems like someone is following me or watching me. But when I look around, no one is around.

"Damn. I guess my anxiety's at it again." I chuckle, convincing myself. That's right. It's just my social phobia.

"What are you read—"

"Ah!" I slap the person beside me, making her cup her swollen cheek. But I immediately recognize her, pulling my hand away.
