chapter one

a ringing woke jaide up from her dream riddled sleep, jaide groggily answered the facetime and saw her friend imarnie staring back at her. "jaide wake up and get to school, now" imarnie demanded, jaide agreed and ended the call.

after scrolling through tiktok for a couple of minutes jaide decided she should finally get out of bed and ready for school, and especially since she was already late for first period. jaide looked in the mirror and saw her disheveled hair and cringed, 'i'll have a shower' she thought. after washing her hair and face jaide pulled in her hoodie and pj shorts and walked outside to get her school uniform from off of the line, on the way she made sure to remind her sister, alissa to get the fuck up and go to school for once. jaide grabbed her uniform off the clothing line and greeted her pomeranian, stormi, who had left alissa's room and went to find jaide.

jaide packed her bag with her lunch and recess and sat down on a bar stool that was at her kitchen island. she scrolled through tiktoks and even made one while she thought alissa was getting dressed, but while jaide was doing all this alissa was actually lying in bed sleeping. jaide walked into alissas room after half an hour and saw her sister still in bed, after trying to convince her to get up and get dressed jaide had to give up because she just wanted to go to school. alissa drive jaide to school and on the way their her stomach started to hurt from the milk that she had in her cereal that morning.

jaide arrived at school and signed in. she walked to her and her friends designated sitting spot near the canteen and saw imarnie wave at her, jaide sat down near imarnie and greeted chanelle. the girls chatted for a while and then jaide stood up and went to go see her other friend oscar, soon after the bell rung. jaide, chanelle and imarnie walked to their third period class, which was food. while standing behind a sitting imarnie and watching the demo that miss doncombe was doing, lance criticised her latest tiktoks but she didn't care. (fuck u lance seros great) lance then proceeds to tell josh and blake that i like a fictional character that shoots tape from his elbows, "is he like spider-man?" josh asked, jaide nodded and they went back to watching the demo.
