Chapter 1 - The Perfect Summer!

It was August, the final day of the summer before a new semester at Hope's Peak. The class of troublemakers were having fun in their 'secret hideout', which was just Ja's bedroom. "Just wait until we get ultimates! Mine will be awesome, just like me." Masaru bragged. Nagisa just rolled his eyes and scoffed. "Sure you will. I'll be the Ultimate Chicken, father of eggs." Everyone laughed at his response, except Masaru, who puffed his cheeks and crossed his arms. "Nagisa, why are you so serious? Come on, it's the last week of summer!" Kotoko interrupted, knowing the argument that would break out. "Masaru, nobody cares! We have our whole lives ahead of us!" The three started bickering, when Jataro pointed out the window. "Uh.....we have a problem. It's almost sunrise...." Everyone turned their attention to the window, then the corner of the room, where Monaca was sleeping. "At least she could sleep. She looks totes adorbs!" Kotoko squealed. They all just stared at each other for what felt like forever until they heard some noises in the corner. "Ngh- Ah, good morning....." Monaca rubbed her sleepy eyes and sat up, motioning for her wheelchair. "Oh, d-do you need it, Monaca..?" Nagisa asked her. Kotoko just shrugged, while Jataro drew a picture of the sun. "That's right, it's the last day of summer." Masaru reluctantly said. A collective groan was heard around the room as they gathered their things, ready for the day. "We didn't even sleep, besides Monaca. Now I'm going to be all tired...and groggy." Kotoko sighed. "We should all go eat breakfast. Maybe that can help us..!" Nagisa exclaimed. "Mhm! Monaca likes that idea! I think it's smart!" Monaca smiled. They all left, being careful not to make any noise. Of course, they threw that out the window when they reached the kitchen, creating a mess of cereal and milk. "Now let's start the morning right. As the leader, I'll show you!" Masaru instructed. "Just because you're the leader, that doesn't mean you know everything." Nagisa rebutted. "Ooh, I found a rubber band!" Monaca squealed. She gave it to Jataro, who just stared at it and messed with it. He flicked it at Masaru and laughed, but soon was being chased around. "Masaru, I didn't m-mean to!" Jataro screamed. "Well, that's your fault for doing that!" Masaru yelled. Nagisa rolled his eyes, while Kotoko and Monaca laughed. "Alright, let's move on. This is already wasting enough time." Nagisa scoffed. Everyone stopped, and carried on for the rest of the day.
