Banished but then loved ( zukka )

chapter 1 finding the avatar and each other

Zuko's POV

It's been 2 years since I was banished by my father and me and my uncle set sail to find the avatar so we can help them stop the war and I can be free to be myself in my own nation. Me and uncle are in the south pole hoping to find even a clue of the avatar my mind starts to wonder thinking about the day my eye was burned and I was banished by my father for being gay I began to tear up when suddenly I felt my uncle's hand on my shoulder and he said to me what he always says to me when I get like this "I will always love you no matter what and you just remember this be with who ever you want to be as long as they make you happy" I thank my uncle and hug him when all of a sudden a light shoots up into the sky I tell my crew to go towards the light I smile at my uncle and say I think we found the avatar.

Sokka's POV

It's just me and my sister katara alone hunting for food for our tribe now is a good as time to tell her. "Katara" I said, "yeah" she replied, I'm gay I said in a soft low voice kinda hoping she wouldn't hear me but instead all I hear is her laughing "good one sokka" she said I told her it wasn't a joke and that I really was gay... All of a sudden she gets mad saying it was wrong of me being gay I started to tear up as she was yelling more and more and water bending a random peiece of ice which later shot up a light into the sky then someone appeared. Katara ran up to them 1st with me shortly behind with my boomerang ready to attack if needed as we got closer we he started to wake up. Once he was up we got to talking we then realized he was the avatar who apparently is the last Airbender and the next avatar. We brought him back to the tribe with katara let looking at me with disgust the whole way.

Zuko's POV

When we got to where the light had come from no one was there my uncle told me maybe he went to the tribe near by so we set our course to there as we got closer we noticed a bison with 3 people on it landing in the camp they look to be my age. When we got to the camp we where surrounded by people ready to fight I told them that we are looking for the avatar to help him with fire bending then a kid appeared in front of me he had arrows on him "you can't be the avatar your just a kid" "yup I'm the avatar" he said I reached my hand out and introduce myself we walked around and I told him what happened to me and how I'll teach him fire bending so he can stop the fire nation. He agreed he then took me to meet his two friends katara and sokka. As we got closer to them katara was ready to fight me but was stopped by aang when my eyes met sokka I lost all words and it looks like he did too. I eventually spoke up and the 5 of us thought of a plan on how aang can learn all the elements starting with water so we decided to head to the north pole me and my uncle told our crew to head back to the fire nation and tell my father we gave up our journey and we settled down somewhere they agreed and headed off then we started to get ready to head to the north pole.

A/N I hope you enjoyed chapter 1 sokka and zuko will start to talk more in the next chapter it's been awhile since I wrote a book so bear with me it will get better later on
