~3rd person POV~
Evelynne Jacobs rushed around her tiny bedroom muttering curse words under her breath.
"Fuck fuck fuck, where is it. It has to be here somewhere" She left no stone unturned when rummaging around every drawer in the dressers.
"Yes! Thank god!" she exclaimed, picking up the plane ticket she hid from her boyfriend she shoved the slip into her hoodie pocket and hurried to grab her small suitcase. Before leaving the dreaded house she left a note she had written the night before, the words scribbled on the paper read;
'Dear Bret, by the time you read this, I'll be gone. When I was 17 I saw you smile and fell in love. When you asked me out on a date I got butterflies and everything felt like it was straight from a movie. When you told me you loved me it made me feel like the luckiest girl in the world. True happiness. I thought you truly loved me but I was wrong. At the start, it was amazing, surprise dates and cute gestures. I thought you were the one I was going to marry. That was before it started. The drinking, the hitting, the name-calling. The abuse. At first, I thought I deserved it but I don't, that's why I left. I want a better life, deserve a better life. One without you, your hurtful words, and your violent hands. One without you bringing a new girl home every night while I sit in another room and listen to you having a good time with someone else. I'm leaving you. For good. I hope you have a good time in hell.
Love, Eve'
Tossing the wrinkled paper onto the countertop, she picked up the pace and left her, now ex-boyfriend's, house. Remembering all the nights he would come home drunk and hit her for a thrill, the impact causing her to stumble and sometimes fall onto the floor. If she made any sounds during her beatings it would get worse. All while a new girl would be in another room waiting to have a night of 'fun' with the monster. She can finally leave this life behind. Smiling to herself at the thought of freedom, Eve pulled her hood tighter over her head and quickened her pace. Having to walk to the airport in the rain wasn't exactly the best plan but it was the only chance the young girl had at escaping his hands.

~3rd person POV~
Evelynne sat waiting for her flight, she would be leaving for South Korea at any moment. She hadn't ever planned on going to Korea, knew very little of the culture and music because of a girl she used to work with. She never shut up about a group called BTS and how they were 'worldwide handsome' or something like that. She smiled at the memory of the young girl, she was a 17 year old with dreams of becoming a star. Eve wondered where that girl was now.
"Attention passengers of flight 43A to South Korea. We are now inviting all passengers to begin boarding at this time. I repeat passengers of flight-" The flight announcement broke her from her thoughts and she sighed, standing from her seat to make her way to board her flight and finally leave this life behind.

~3rd person POV~
Mere minutes after Evelynne left, Brett came home. Drunk. Slurring his words and stumbling over his own feet, a random girl at his side. A horrible sight for anyone to see. The woman stumbled over to the couch to wait for Brett while he went to pour them more alcohol, that's when he noticed the note. Picking up the wrinkled paper and scanning it for a moment, he blinked in confusion.
"Brett, babe are you coming?" The woman on the couch slurred, growing impatient with the man.
"Yeah yeah, wait a minute." He replied, becoming serious and quite angry while reading the note. "Better yet, I'm not in the mood anymore, leave." Brett growled at the woman who sat dumbfounded at the sudden change of mood.
Standing from the small beige sofa, dimly lit by the moonlight the young woman made her way toward the man. Instead of walking out the door she carefully placed a hand on his left shoulder blade, this made him even angrier.
"Brett? Is everything okay? Come on let's get some drinks and have fun." She said trying to bring back the previous mood. Instead, the woman only made him angrier and angrier.
"I said to LEAVE!" He yelled, voice booming through the otherwise silent home.
"Get the FUCK OUT WHORE!" He kept yelling, this time picking up the bottle of liquor from the counter and smashing it on the floor. The liquid inside polling out onto the cool tiles with shards of glass flaking across the floor. Terrified the woman quickly called for a taxi and left Brett's house with wide eyes. Brett searched his pockets for his phone and dialed Evelynne's number, the phone began to ring. As each second passed that she didn't answer he only grew more enraged, when he heard the girl's voicemail he hung up and tried calling again. Each time Eve didn't answer. The man took photos off the walls and threw them on the floor, lamps thrown at walls. Breaking whatever he could get his hands on before deciding to send her a text.
Brett: Where the fuck are you
Brett: You know you'll never get away I will find you fucking bitch.
Brett: So help me god when I do you'll regret this
Brett: FUCKING ANSWER ME BITCH
Brett: I'M GONNA FUCKING KILL YOU
Good luck. : Eve
I'm on a plane to a different country, have fun coming to get me. : Eve
I hope everything you've done to me catches up with you. : Eve
I hope you can feel hurt just as much as I did every day and every night: Eve
I'm not 17 anymore, I saved up money and left. I'm gone and it's your fault : Eve
I doubt you can ever admit that even to yourself, though. : Eve
Goodbye Brett, have fun when karma comes for you. : Eve
~You can no longer send or receive messages from this number~
With each new message, Brett became infuriated. He'd had enough when Evelynne blocked his number and whipped his phone as hard as he could. Shattering it. In a fit of rage, Brett started to punch walls and throw plates, anything he could find to break he would. Windows were smashed and the blood from his knuckles had stained the, once white, walls and cold, tiled floor. Soon sirens were being heard throughout the house, flashing red and blue lights danced across the damaged, cracked walls.
Brett was finally being arrested.
Evelynne finally got away.
~Hi! So I haven't written a fanfiction in a WHILE but a friend asked for Wang Puppy so she shall receive a horribly written fanfic. I know this part was short, it was mainly just a look into why Eve is in Korea. I hope you all enjoy as the story progresses whoever may read this and please feel free to give me feedback or tips on how to improve! Love y'all, stay safe, have fun!~
