PROLOGUE
"I'm telling you, you're not okay. If you don't want to talk about it right now, that's okay. It's your decision I have to respect. But, you have to remember that you have forty-three days to talk about it. Any questions?"
You mean, forty-three more days?"
Tumango siya. "You're in a forty-five day program. Two days ka nang nandito, so you still have forty three days to go."
"Program? Anong program?"
For the second time, tumango na naman siya. "We need to know the cause of your distress and help you work on your healing process," sagot niya. "Magkakaroon tayo ng mga counselling; individual sessions with me, and group sessions with other patients."
"Huh? Other patients? Anong other patients?"
"Mga kabataan ding katulad mo, Sid," sagot niya. "Don't worry. Makikilala mo rin agad sila bukas."
"Wow, nice. Back to school?"
