Chapter 1 Hiding

I covered my scent again as I watched below me. My wolf, Secret, barked at me in my mind, You covered your scent three times already with in the last hour it would take a day for the first layer to come off!

I rolled my eyes in my head as I responded, you can never be too careful.

She mumbled something then cut off the connection as I focused below, one of the last five werewolves other than me stood there looking at a map.

I smelled the air as I smelled humans coming soon I heard footsteps pounding on the forest floor. The person below me smelled it to as he flinched at the sound at first I could see a frown on his face as I was above him his hair was a dark brown but like a chocolate color, I watched not paying attention to the branches below me my eyes widened as one started to snap, the one I was standing on.

I quickly jumped up as I hid in the leaves of the tree now standing on a higher branch that could hold me, his head snapped up but I was already hidden. He stared at the tree for a few seconds when he looked down there was humans laughing at him.

One was a male the other was a female the female had long curly Brown hair that ended at the middle of her back she had hazel eyes & was shorter than the male who was about 6'1 making her about 5'5. I could tell they were siblings by their scent, the girl wore a black binni & a black t-shirt with Navy blue shorts.

The male had on a white t-shirt & baggy jeans he also had brown hair but it wasn't curly & was the same as the wolf below me, his bangs ended at the middle of his forehead, unlike the wolf he had onyx colored eyes.

The wolf which I have been watching for a week now had one crystal blue eye his right & one dark brown eye his left. He was an orphan & knew what he was... he was wearing a black sweat shirt & baggy jeans like the male laughing at him.

"Your team has only 1 point & we have 5 already the only way for you to catch up is to find the blue flag!" The male laughed as he referred to the game of capture the flag all the teenagers were playing on this side of the war, but the game had a slight twist, he treated the wolf like an omega, the lowest ranking wolf in a pack.

I couldn't help but let a growl slip as they all looked up at the tree astonished the tree growled. Now you blew are cover making me want to kill those humans even more! Secret growled at me, I smiled at the thought of killing the humans.

I shook my head at the thought as if saying no as I softly talked back to Secret's comment, I want to kill them too, but we can't remember I am watching the three wolves fighting in the war, I'm going to need to choose a side sooner or later the humans will find me in the forest or call me to help them win the war. I slowly backed up in the tree trying to not be seen as I knew that the humans were confused, & the wolf now knew I was there.

After about a minute the wolf knew I wasn't coming out & then spoke to the humans who still stared at the tree," Well to bad for your team I guess, for I have the blue flag." As he told them that he raised the flag their faces flooded with anger & defeat as they snapped their heads at him I couldn't help but smile.

The girl hissed at him & her brother," Well if me & Joe tag you we can take it from you!" her brother, Joe was it, Nodded referring to the rules.

Joe smirked & said," That's right Joy!"

The wolf below me smiled & told them with a smirk," I'd like to see you try." What is it with boys & smirks? With that he ran off smiling as he jumped into the tree behind him & started climbing, as soon as they were climbing the tree to the point they can't jump off he jumped & ran towards the checkpoint.

I smiled as I slumped back in the tree smelling all the scents of the forest. I jumped off of it after a while as I landed I made sure no one was watching I shifted to my wolf form, I was a chocolate brown color with a white tips on my right ear, paws, & tail. My eyes were bright hypnotic gold.

The soft pads on my feet hit the mush ground as I followed the wolves scent through the forest. I stopped & hid behind a tree as I watched the wolf he was now walking he smelled the air after hearing my feet hit the ground. He looked confused then commented through the cold air," You know I heard you but I can't smell you, did you cover your scent or something?"

I was glad was in my wolf form otherwise I would have given myself away. I simply snorted so to say then hid so he couldn't see me as he snapped his head around to look at where I used to be.

He looked confused again then realized I was in hiding he nodded & chuckled," Well then I guess that's a yes... I hoped to at least see or meet you sense we are two of the last werewolves, I guess not."

Secret roared in anger, He's trying to guilt us don't you dare fall for it Tenna!

I simply laughed at her in my mind as I then made sure I was hidden & shifted back to my human form, & put on some clothes, I was wearing a grey sweater & some skinny jeans, with black leather boots.

I simply kept hidden I had long platinum blond hair that stopped at my waist & was wavy, Crystal blue eyes that sometimes turned green depending on the lighting, but like all strong wolves they turned gold when I got mad, or emotional.

Staying in hidden I spoke," That is true, I did cover my scent, but you will see me, & meet me sooner than you think... Jake." I could tell he was surprised I knew his name when I notice his face turned to a surprised look.

Before he could talk, I saw his mouth starting to open I turned to my wolf form & ran off. My paws hit the moist ground I could smell pine, humans, wolves, & other animals but when I caught the scent of another werewolf that wasn't me I smelled it again smelling Jake, I ignored it but, ran farther into the forest.

When I saw a cave I walked into it, seeing my sleeping bag, duffle bag, & other stuff was still there I turned around to collect wood for a fire & something to eat.

A/N so how was it? Please correct me if I use incorrect grammar or something like that because this is only my first story on wattpad so ya anyway feel free to do suggestions for the story (that doesn't mean that I will use them though.)
