Minhyuk's mom, Eun Rumi, decided to move to Korea to open her own entertainment company, Caramel Entertainment.

Minhyuk was only 16 years old then. When his parents opened up Caramel Ent, a lot of his classmates became friends with him for clout.

When he realised the fact that his friends were using them, he stayed away from them. His friends started bullying him. He wasnt really feeling great.

Depression hit him and he started listening to songs, that is when he realised his dreams. He signed a contract under his Mother's company as a trainee.
