Making a mask to hide who I am
This world criticizes me
I act so cheerful
Yet I feel so glum
I'm fighting a fight
That will never be won
None understand me
Even when I can be
When I cover up
What I am
I feel so awful
Like I can't describe
This world is hurting
My glory and pride
The thought of the teasing
The mockery and strife
A tear was in my eye
The wisdom of my mask
Was overtaking what's in here
Creeping, crawling to my faith
Slinking quietly
Suddenly, it blasted back
Rolling abruptedly
A strike from my hero
Destroyed my phobia
Who is this glorious victor?
Pandora's box
shall proclaim
As it keeps
inside the dark,
The unfailing Hope
