It's been a year since I've seen my pack, they were probably worried sick especially my mom, well I blame it all on that guy who made my wolf and me self-concious of ourselves, But I'm glad, now I look beautiful and yes I admit it, actually I am pretty happy that that guy did that although it was horrible I got a benifit out of it. But still...

*Flashback*

Chloe's POV

"And that's how you shift." My mother finished with a fake smile plastered on her face.

I knew it was fake because I could sense her nervousness by the way her hands were shaking. I gave her a reassuring smile.

"Don't worry mom, I'll be fine." I said reassuring her again.

Today at midnight I was turning seventeen and was destined to find my mate, I mean he might reject me, but I have a sliver of hope that he wouldn't. I sighed feeling my mom's worry roll off her body hurdling straight to my heart putting another weight of worry on my shoulder. I had to admit I was a bit nervous about shifting. Heck, who am I kidding I was terrified, that I might have to shift alone. As my mother went over how to shift alone for the 5th time in this hour, my eyes glazed over and anxiety took me over. Millions of questions flooded my head waiting to be answered. I was shaken out of my thoughts, to see my mom just staring at me with concern.

"Are you going to be alright Chlo?" She asked her tone laced with worry and concern.

"Ya," I said in a tone that didn't sound convincing even to myself.

"Alright just-."

"I'll be fine mom, don't worry." I cut her off. She gave me one last look.

"Okay I'll see you tomorrow." She said.

I stood up to give her a quick hug but before I let go she whispered

"Tell me all about it when you come home." She released me looking at my eyes.

I just nodded and wriggled out of her grasp.

"Bye mom." I said to her, she just waved in response.

I walked to the front door and opened it. I was greeted by a wave of fresh spring air. I smiled to myself and closed the front door, walking over to my car.
