Upon walking out of the church where Prince Rupert just participated in a royal wedding, he decided to immediately annex his bride—the Princess of Formentera—out of the state. "Farewell to the church (or as the people of Formentera call it, the 'temple') and farewell to the temple's master who officiated our wedding and planted the black worm seed," Prince Rupert thinks to himself. "You see," he continues in thought. "Even though he was a part of my plan, the wedding was solely of his word, no? After all, it is the temple master's job to make couples—especially those of royalty—lead to eternal eden, or, a future of happiness. For now, I must make the people shed tears of glass. Yes, these tears made everyone in the temple this sabbath morning (particularly the royals of Formentera) shed tears of glass. They saw nothing. And still wont. You see, I forced them to believe I was in the right for annexing the princess. Oh, how they cried for their fallen, little angel. But, I was in the right, yeah? After all, I have the divine right to rule. Not some lowly Formentera lady."
"Also," Prince Rupert continues thinking to himself. "I was able to destroy the temple's sacred tablet scriptures that were molded into wax; if Formentera loses its history, I'll be the only history. The people of Formentera, or Lizards, as I like to call them, feed off of these scriptures."
"Wake your reason's hollow vote!" Prince Rupert says after arriving in front of the Formenteran people. "You either fight for me or you die!" the Prince announces to everyone. The people of Formentera, believing that Prince Rupert and Princess Formentera were supposed to have a "guaranteed eden," are now in a state of shock. What's this? Fight for him? What about Princess Formentera? All of those questions remain unanswered as Prince Rupert begins his speech again by announcing, "Lizards! Wear your blizzard season coats! For a new ruler has taken over your land. You'll need them for the upcoming change..."
The country of Formentera, being entirely its own island, has many ports. The 'Lizards' have already made their way to certain ports, however, they are not able to escape as the Prince commanded every one of his individual soldiers to each "burn a bridge and burn a boat," so no one can escape. Prince Rupert also commanded each soldier to individually "stake a Lizard by the throat," or in other words, each soldier had to kill a certain inhabitant of Formentera.
The people of Formentera soon come to realize they now have two options, and two options only: assassinate Prince Rupert or kneel before him. After all, the ones who reap the harvest are the ones who make the future their dawn.
Prince Rupert announces to everyone in Formentera, "all of the royal Lizards are no more! The royalty of Formentera are devils! They use their spoons to eat away at the fine, lovely people of this beautiful country! Now, all of the devil's tarnished spoons will rust beneath our corn. Corn that will be planted, such as not been seen before! The Lizard royalty of Formentera have hurt you all for far too long! I have married myself into the Island of Formentera to help its people! The current royalty will be wiped clean and a new and much better one will be in its wake. Soon, you, the people, will all have a chance to roam Prince Rupert's garden. Then, in the future, the current barren wastelands on the outskirts of the capitol, will soon be ripe with rain trees and gardens! The past Lizard's bones will become the clay that holds together our country!"
Prince Rupert, a young fellow with ambitious dreams, sees a better future for the people of Formentera. Now, at this very moment, the people of Formentera understand where Prince Rupert puts them. First off, the people have realized the common folk weren't getting killed by the Prince's soldiers, but, rather, only the royalty and upperclassmen were. The people also realized Prince Rupert, although he may not have seemed like it at first, is here to help the common folk by replacing the existing monarchy of Formentera with his own. And there a swan is born.
"Wake your reasons' hollow vote!" Prince Rupert exclaims once again. "Wear your blizzard season coat, for the seasons are changing! Don't let a single Lizard escape! Everyone of Formentera! Burn a bridge and burn a boat! Stake a Lizard by the throat!"
Throughout the land of Formentera, the common folk are finally at long last able to take out their frustrations on their corrupted rulers. Before, no one dared to retaliate against even the slightest unwanted happening from the royal family for shackles were being placed upon them. But, now, the people's shackles have rusted over and they have broken free.
After a few months of Prince Rupert being in power, far away, across the fields, a group of surviving Lizards are conjuring up a plot to reclaim Formentera as rightfully theirs.
Now that Prince Rupert is in power, he completely abolished The Court of Piepowders—a group of Lizards who had unlimited control over the market of the country. This is especially good news as common Lizards were often sold to slavery by this group. The whole country saw visions of an end goal. One that made the country happy, wealthy, and prosperous.
Prince Rupert is now constantly being seen telling tales of how great his country will become. The Prince believed in his tales of grandeur so much so, he imprisoned the prophets who criticized him for hiding behind a mask. As if he wasn't who he said he was. However, despite some setbacks, Prince Rupert promised prosperity for his country and reels of dreams unrolled.
