"RISE AND SHINE, GET UP AND GET DRESSED, AND BRING YOUR BREAKFAST TO THE COUCH WE NEED TO WATCH WHO THE TRIBUTES ARE !!!" screamed Portia, she was so hyped today because we're being told what District we're styling. I Really want District12 and Portia don't really mind but we both really hope we style the same District as each other. Portia and I are very close, we both grew up together, we both share the same dad but not mum that's why we don't look alike and are around the same age. We don't tell anyone because it's illegal and could get us and our family killed. No one knows other than our parents and siblings that we are related. They all just think we're friends. We are also from a different country. we are not from the capitol or anywhere near the capitol. Portia moved before me, she moved when she was 19 because she had too. I moved 2 years ago to finish my degree in fashion. Since Portia arrived in the Capitol, she has watched children die for entertainment and money and can almost feel their cries under their fake smiles. She can't do anything about it, but if she had one wish her wish would be to stop the Hunger Games.
The reason Portia is a stylist is because she wants to give the tributes hope that they can survive the Hunger Games. To show them they're not just a piece of the Capitols games, but sadly has been rejected to be a stylist multiple times because no one wants to work with her. personally, I think it's because the Capitol knows Portia has talent but there has been no one to match her level. Now that me and Portia are partnering to enter the hunger games we know we can get to be stylists. Me and Portia have always been on the same level except when it comes to styling. We both know I am better, but it has never been an interest to know.
When we started watching there was an intro speech. Then they went on to the first district. District1, District1 makes luxury items for the capitol, according to Portia they're always the capitols favourite. They finished off with their anthem and showed who their stylists were. I didn't know the stylist, but I could see that Portia didn't really like them. Whilst we were waiting for the ceremony to end I couldn't feel my legs and my tummy was rumbling because all this time it was digesting saliva.
We were waiting for the ceremony to end already. We were so bored and NO, we couldn't just turn off our TV. Once the Tv's on the ceremony you can't turn it off or change the channel because all the channels are playing the same thing and the tv is programmed to stay on until the ceremony is finished. From the second I saw the differences of the districts, I hated how unfair they were but they all seemed fine until the last District12.All the other 11 districts ceremonies were more alike than the other but This District seemed poor and dirty compared to all the other districts all the people were so skinny and looked very unhealthy. District12 had the most heartbreaking moment. A girl called Katniss Everdeen sacrificed her life for her sister. Then on our screen there were 2 names, we couldn't believe our eyes. We're the stylists for District 12. Straight away Portia and I could see that this girl was going to show the capitol that she wasn't a piece of their games.
